Sir Charles Kingsford Smith Memorial Lookout
This one is easy to miss as it's just as you turn onto the road. Between 5 and 10 carparks available. Nice view of 7 mile beach. Shrubs from neighbouring properties are fairly tall and do block some of the view.

Do not set your expectations too high for this. It's just a tiny spot with a good view of the seven mile beach, but it is still instructed partially and I must preferred being in the beach itself.

Great place to sit and chill. Nice views of seven mile beach. Food and drinks available from shops down the hill. Limited parking but doesn't really get busy. Seats available for groups of 8 max. Heaps of standing room. Pulliing out of that street is a bit iffy as cars race around the corner.

Nice little park on the way into Gerroa with a great view over Seven Mile Beach.Kingsford Smith landed on the beach mid January 1933, stayed overnight and took off the next day commencing his flight to New Zealand.

Coming up a hill, the road curves left and you see a sign at the last minute saying Kingsford Smith Lookout. You've got a split decision to make: slam the brake and make a hard right turn, or go further up the road and make a U-turn. Glad I made that U-turn. The little beach down the road from the lookout was picturesque as well. Recommended.

Nice view from the lookout area of the beach and the river. A tad small for a typical lookout and we found it a bit difficult to locate the place due to maybe 'high' expectations. But overall a must visit place. View of beach and openness on one end while a beautiful farm on the other side demarcated by the highway.

Great view. Really great views. It only takes a second to stop and have a look. Also the memorial to the first commercial flight to New Zealand with 3/4 replica of the footprint on the ground. Well worth the stop

Beautiful view of Seven Mile beach. Fascinating history, the scene of the first Australia to NZ flight in 1930, piloted by the famous Kingsford Smith. Not to be missed!

Great spot to re-live this amazing journey from Aus to NZ by one of the early air pioneers. Event info easy to read and the extract from the newspaper although lengthy, paints a clear picture of what unfolded.

I've never actually stopped here, always just drove past before the highway was opened! But was such an amazing place to stop at!
