Without question the most pleasant cellar bar I've had the privilege to patron. Excellent wine, well considered food menu and the hostess is a delight.Edit: It's a cellar bar, not a wine bar. Doesn't effect the score.

My partner and I stopped in at Somerled Wines on a sleepy Tuesday afternoon. The hostess was AMAZING, super friendly and knowledgeable. We both got a wine and a Spanish Platter - everything was delicious and nothing was left. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and so welcoming, the music was perfect - couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Food and especially the cheese were delicious, however Lucy was incredibly rude and our entire group were treated like children for having a conversation too loud" as the only customers in the venue. Can safely say in all my years I have never been treated so poorly by someone in the hospitality industry.Venue was incredibly dusty and dirty

Afternoon of wine tasting in a lovely setting.We were very well looked after by Lucy and team. Fabulous wine and really tasty nibbles. Recommend the Shriaz and French plate combo. Joined the club and will be back.

Great tasting platter and wine. We had the French platter with an excellent pate, terrine, mini toast and more. Very peaceful setting and wonderful staff.

Lovely place. Simple food, done very nicely, not actually meals, but European style grazing. Tried 4 wines, absolutely loved 3, 1 was merely adequate. Staff are friendly & knowledgeable. Very enjoyable few hours, sipping wine, grazing & watching the passing parade. Thoroughly recommended.

Delicious afternoon of wine tasting. Clinton was a lovely host who didn’t mind that I don’t partake in alcohol drinks. Nonetheless he explained and offered water with no bother.Summary: Very warm welcome both from our host and the decor. Delicious wine

We really enjoyed our stop at Somerled. Karen was very attentive and friendly. She was very knowledgeable about wines and made us feel very welcome (even though they were very busy)The place is very cute and fits the whole ambiance of Hahndorf.The wines were delicious. The sparkling shiraz is not to miss.Overall, somerled is a great spot for a date or a quick bite accompanied with quality SA wines
