Paul is refreshingly experienced, upfront and honest.I was looking for a expert In transmissions so I called some contacts in the car industry to ask who else I could approach for an independent transmission assessment. I explained to my contacts that I wanted to find someone that I felt confident was not going to deceive me and convince me that I needed work done that wasn’t essential or relevant.Interestingly enough, ‘Paul from Autocar’ came highly recommended from two different sources as being highly experienced and as someone that I would be able to trust.I felt happy to meet Paul and I really appreciated the diligence and thoroughness with which he investigated what could possibly be the cause of my car’s new transmission error. He explained the risk and possible expense involved in the repairs.Thanks Paul.I don’t like to cross reference my Google reviews, generally but I did have a really bad and dangerous experience last year with a transmission repair at another mechanic. I have a Google review on that experience if you wish to read it. I only mention that review because I think it is important to find a company to work on your car who is a transmission expert tans who has a good reputation of doing repairs that don’t result in any safety risks.All I can say is that if I find myself ever having a car with transmission issues in future, I would insist on going back to Paul and his Autocar team. I feel very confident that your and my car would be in good hands here.

Paul is awesome! Decently priced repairs, doesn’t over charge on parts unlike other auto shops on the Northside. Even picked up and dropped my car back to me for its overnight stay at the workshop to take the hassle out of it for me.If you’re after an auto shop that doesn’t rip you off, with reliable and customer friendly staff, then I highly recommend going and seeing Paul and the team.

Paul is terrific - the Peugeot's auto transmission was continually going into fail mode and the authorised Peugeot repair center kept just resetting the computer and couldn't solve the problem. We contacted numerous other European workshops in Brisbane who weren't even interested in even looking at the car. Paul spend a great deal of time looking at the car and it's history and explained what was going on. He was able to give us an accurate quote which he stood by. The car is back to full operation and without the dreaded clunking into fail mode.Highly recommend.

I have a an old falcon and Paul did a full rebuild on the auto transmission, the vehicle wasn't working correctly after around 4000 kilometres, so I explained my problem and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Service and warranty comes under the microscope when something goes wrong. The warranty, wasn't only rectified, which in the end was a( faulty part) but was dealt with quickly and calmly, great service Paul, Highly recommend this business. Great work ....

Paul came recommend by my local mechanic of 15 years. They serviced our Subaru forrester cvt transmission for the exact price quoted. I had to wait 3 weeks for the job, but to me that hat tells me they are a quality business. As Arney (the terminator) would say I'll be back" thanks

We have recently moved to the area and decided to use the local North side autocar for service. Part of the service was checking tyres and wheel alignment which was supposed to have been done. Having been away I didn't use the car immediately but on my return I saw that the tyres were nearly bald. I would have thought this would have been mentioned so I took the car back to enquire about the legality of the tyres and as to why such an important factor would have been overlooked??I was told in no uncertain terms to get lost and they were too busy to even look at the tyres to let me know whether they need changing!I am thoroughly disgusted with their behaviour and rude attitude. It also shows complete irresponsibility in allowing their clients to drive a car that may incur a police penalty but dangerous. Worst of all their customer service is zero and quite frankly rude.If you want any questions answered after they have taken your money, good luck to you. I would never go back there, neither should anyone!
