Stunning views, good amenities (toilets, beach shower), stinger net, out of the way. Bring your own food and drinks if you want more than water from a fountain. There are no nearby shops.

Freemason's Pallarenda Park
This is a lovely area. Well maintained toilet area and BBQs. Lots of rubbish bins, and trees that provide well-needed shade. Large car park. And there's a swimming area that is patrolled by life guards, with a net to keep out stingers. One of my favourite areas of Townsville.

Great place to have a relaxing picnic with family and friends. The place is clean and fresh air! There are a lot of shaded area and is very close to amenities. If you're lucky, you might be able to take a photo with a lifeguard! :D

What a lovely place to walk the dog or simply walk lovely green space with toilet and showers, l was concerned on where everyone was it was deserted. So if you like a place of peace and quite this is for you not a sole for miles. So bring a book to read or maybe a yoga mat and do your daily routine.

Freemason's Pallarenda Park
Great place to bring a picnic and relax under cool trees. Toilets available here. There is a stinger enclosure for safe swimming. Plenty of grassy area to run around and kick a ball. Short walk on to sandy white beach to enjoy the water, admire the views across to Magnetic Island and breathe in free air. And it is all free.

A nice park for the kids to have a play, with plenty of shade over the playground. Free electric BBQ, toilets, change rooms and showers. There is a life guard watching over the stinger net which is very handy. Plenty of parking too.
