Great lookout close to Wilpena Pound. We visited this location numerous times for a recent photography tour I hosted. The grass trees make for a wonderful foreground and the Flinders Ranges in the background help compete a wonderful image.For best views arrive before sunrise when the first light is coming to get wonderful magenta colours and Alpen Glows.If viewing at sunset there will be lovely light filtering across the front of the ranges and valleys below. We also managed to do some great creative Astro photographs at his location too using the grass trees as foreground interest.

A good place to stop and take a few minutes to view the Ranges when travelling the Flinders Ranges Way. It is only 100 mtrs off the road and while not the best lookout in the area, certainly worth a look.

Great view of the ranges at sunset! Perfect for viewing the ranges and all the beautiful green native vegetation of the area. Managed to snag this beautiful shot during a random summer drive and will forever be my favourite photo and favourite sunset ever!
