Natural Oak Photography

I do not really like leaving poor reviews but would just like to share our own experience. We were going to have two weddings; one in Queensland and one in Singapore for our families and friends as we came from two different countries. We engaged Natural Oak Photography for our actual day Queensland wedding in October 2022... Sadly to say, we were really disappointed with the photos that came back... Out of 600+ photos that came back, we were allowed to choose 200, but we struggled with trying to even reach those 200 photos. There were a lot of repeat photos (some even reached up to 5-6 of the same shot...) and so many of them so generic that you could get those photos by putting a tripod and taking it yourself... Some of them were not even in focus... when there was still plenty of light...The whole reason why we decided to engage them was because we saw a family friend's wedding photos and they were amazing. When we engaged them, in their email, they mentioned that they had another wedding on the day but that was for videography (which in their website then, they mentioned that matt runs the videography side of the business).On our wedding day, Emily did not turn up for our wedding, and at first, we did not really think much about it. Matt was really friendly and nice and took a lot of photos etc... We had trust in them. It was only until the photos that came back that we started really questioning why..We were hoping to get photos of our big day like the ones we saw on their social media or the ones that our family friend had but to be honest, we felt really cheated. For the amount we paid, we would have thought we would get back what it was worth. Money is one thing, but the moments of that day would never come back.. especially when there were quite a few of my family who flew overseas to attend the wedding... and that is what prompted me to leave this review...As a professional service, one should deliver what one has promised and we definitely did not receive what is due. I am sure they could deliver awesome photos (It was the reason why we engaged them in the first place), just ensure that your photographer is Emily and no one else. We definitely lost trust in them but it was too late, since those precious moments were lost; never captured and we could not turn back time...

Emily was a total dream to work with! Super responsive, very flexible, put everyone at ease and turned around our photos incredibly quickly! Cannot recommend enough :)

Emily was absolutely wonderful to work with. We arranged a family photo shoot. Getting help with the wardrobe choices for my family and the colour tones was also greatly appreciated. Emily always manages to get “the shot”. We have had a few sessions with Emily where our toddler was not wanting to play ball and we thought there couldn’t possibly have been anything decent to come out of it but every single time Emily has managed to capture the magic moments between the meltdowns and produce the most incredible images for us to treasure. Emily is has now become our family photographer for all special occasions and sometimes just because. Affordable, reliable and warm. Couldn’t recommend more!

Emily has taken photos for our family on many occasions and delivers gorgeous photos every time. She is very good at what she does and makes you feel very comfortable in front of the camera. She is very responsive with communication and has a quick turn around on galleries. She is also amazing with kids. I highly recommend Emily.

We had the pleasure of having Emily take our newborn photographs. We are so happy with the results & are forever thankful for the incredible photos & memories we now have. It was a great experience! We would definitely use Natural Oak photography again for all our family photo needs.

The process was made extremely easy, I contacted Emily via Instagram to find out some information on booking a bump to baby photography package. Emily was extremely helpful, gave me all the info I needed and was able to book in straight away. Pricing was fair and I had the option of using a selection of beautiful dresses from the client wardrobe and have the same option for bub when we do the newborn photos in a few weeks. My partner and myself were quiet nervous on the day but the nerves were put to bed early on, Emily made us feel at ease and explained the process, we were super happy with how our photos turned out, they were natural and captured out personality and happiness. We received a sneak peak of photos within a few hours and received all the edited photos to look at within 5 days. We can’t wait for our newborn photos in the next few weeks.

Got the Mother’s Day shoot done with mum, aunty, nan and all the grandkids! She made us feel so welcome and encouraged us to feel relaxed. We had babies with us that weren’t feeling the camera on the day, but relaxed us parents by making bubbas laugh even had some cookies for the kids. It made the photos even more special for how natural they were! Best service and great photos to hang on the wall would 100% recommend

Natural Oak Media has been an absolute pleasure to deal with... Emily is so relaxed and easy going she made all 15 of us feel very comfortable! When the little ones kicked off, Emily even attempted a dance and silly faces to encourage their participation. Our photos are gorgeous and we will be proud to display them in our homes.
