What a fabulous experience! Gympie Rattler Train Station is a beautiful heritage station to start with, then jump on board and sit back, relax, enjoy the train ride, the scenery, and your travel companions while meandering along at a leisurely pace.When you reach Amamoor hop off and enjoy some country hospitality, then head back again.A perfect way to slow down and chill out for a few hours!

The train experience is absolutely fantastic. We went in the middle class.caffiage which I would highly recommend for a group. There's not a lot of info available before you actually board the train like how to get a coffee or the toilet situation but the staff and the experience are great

What a fantastic time we had on the Mary Valley Rattler!We booked online with ease , and at $60 per person as a senior - it was great value.We especially loved the commentary from John who is such an asset to this wonderful excursion. We were lucky to have him in our carriage , he was friendly and knowledgeable .Thankyou for a great trip.

Such a historical place. Train pulled in while we were there. Iced chocolate was delicious. Date scone was nice. Jam was delicious.

Wonderful day out. Beautiful scenery , staff on board and in gift shop were entertaining and helpful. Suggest a bottle of water be handed out with each taster pack or even some local wine?

We arrived at 9am, 1 hour early, lined up for food, waited 10 minutes in the queue watching the a very disorganised group of people. When the person in front of us was being served they stopped taking coffee orders! SERIOUSLY! So we ordered a meat pie and two sausage rolls, 40 minutes later! They don't have a pie warmer! So our order went into the cooked food queue. Learn how to work smarter guys, a buy a pie warmer. Onto the $65 per person train. It was quaint, the trip was OK, certainly not a lush rainforest trip like one may expect in Queensland. It was NOT scenic at all, just a country ride on an old train. AND, the carriages don't turn around at the end, and we were told to sit in the same seats on the way back, so you don't even get a change of scenery on the way back. All up its probably a $30 ride. There are better things to do.

We were given a trip on The Mary Valley Rattler as a present... Thoroughly enjoyed. We had seats in the VIP carriage - the staff, very relaxed and friendly - they were there because they wanted to be. Food was great. The train was fantastic. Thanks for a very pleasant day.
