Went to the bistro for the seafood buffet on Tuesday night. $40 per head sounded reasonable until youre presented with the options of just seafood chowder, chilli mussels, crabs, thawed prawns and soggy fish and chips.

It's a good family place to eat, but I feel there needs to be more variety in the cold buffet. If you went there once a week to eat, you would become bored with the selection of food. I'd hate to see that happen to a family-style restaurant

Very nice on arrival. Bar staff terrific. Buffet staff very nice. Food terrific, young lady staff member took photo for us.

Definitely nothing fancy! More like a miners canteen. Not somewhere to come on a first date that's for sure. The nicest spots are outside but of course they don't put the outdoor heaters on. Miserable rude barman (big bloke with a beard)This place is just terrible... Expensive and run down.

Came down last night for buffet to ensure it was as good as it used to be as I was going to book venue for my husbands 60th. The food other than the potatoes and meat was revolting. The fish was dry, so much batter on it and little fish. The salads were disappointing, every salad had cheese on it so if you don’t eat dairy or are lactose intolerant which I am and I don’t eat meat leaves very little choice. Left after 45 minutes, unless things improve would never go again despite going there for the last 15 years.

Terrible service, below average foodHave been invited for family dinner last Sunday. Went to order my first glass of wine. Asked what I want by bartender, I asked what wine do you offer. The unpleasant and disinterested young man pointed at the fridge at the end of the bar. I couldn’t see from the distance through condensed glass. Went in the pointed direction to get closer to the fridge to see what is there. The young angry man jumped out of the bar and started to get physical. I promptly apologised and backed off yet he kept threatening me and pushing his body against mine (him 20 yo me 60 rather intimidating experience) Clearly the bartender has no idea about customer service. Manners and respect for fellow human beings are all foreign concepts. AVOID! Why would like to subject yourself to trauma and ruin your evening?1 star: To be fair, they do serve warm foodQuality: below averageChoice: Rather poor in the buffet (don’t believe the pictures)Service: Horrible.Experience: PTSDNever again!

We so excited to go and eat dinner they 1.2.23 but we so dispoint with the food roasted lamb look like a week old and Fried rice wasn't fresh and the salad bar look so old look like it from yesterday left over. Am not going back there again don't want to get food poison from it.

Had the buffet, the battered fish was dry, salad bar lacked variety & staff need to improve keeping items topped up & fresh. No bread rolls, and only butter available, no margarine. Only 1 tray of fresh fruit with pineapple, melon and orange. Sweets may be appealing to kids, jelly & flavoured pudding & cut squares of tray cake. Apple crumble tasted like burnt muesli & only a can of whipped cream.No visible labelling for gluten free, allergen, lactose, vegetarian or vegan.Buffet definitely needs improvements.Bruschetta & garlic prawns were nice.

The food is ALWAYS first class.It is just a fabulous dining experience.I've been going there with my mate for a good few years.
