Great to take kids swimming has a netted area plenty of coffee shops or go for a nice walk, bbq areas for picnics & play area for kids

This is a sweet spot for a good swim and has all the amenities one needs to simply have a good time. Facilities are available as all *Unisex*, so no embarrassing situations could occur. All amenities are accessible for people with disabilities. Even a soft sloping, safe ramp leads directly into the water for wheelchair users.However, we “found” a quite defensive “Blue Swimmer Crab”. What a nature’s surprise!

We went for a drive to see where they were and how Disabled Friendly they were. We did think that from what we could see that it would be a bit hard to get in and out. But if anyone knows them you maybe able to help. TY.

A very nicely set out picnic area on the Northern end of Lake Macquarie. A bit too cold to swim on the day we visited but there were some brave souls!! A nice ramped entry to the Baths also.

Great swimming spot. Kids love to dive of the jetty in the safe netted enclosure so nobody has to worry about the sharks in the lake.

Interesting place for the public to have a bath or swim at Lake Macquarie.The whole bath area is enclosed with wire meshing for safety. Access is by a wooden platform with steps into the bath area. There's a changing and toilet facility nearby. The nearby area has a paved walkway by the lake side to enjoy the view of Lake Macquarie.

Relaxing place to swim: jump off the wharf and a great ramp for wheelchair access or kids to feel safe on.Many little fish in the water to gaze at.Watch out for oysters and things in the weed - aqua shoes are a good idea if you are wanting to touch the bottom.Game add a good bathroom. Not a lot of parking.
