Elegance Alterations

Stay Away. I wanted my brand new white pants shortened (tags still attached) and indicated very precisely an exact length. I picked them up yesterday and discovered, when I got home, Elegance had taken too much off the length. But, even worse, they'd cut a hole in them right on the hemline. So, while Elegance are very cheap, be wary of handing over any garment that you value. Sometimes saving a couple of dollars isn't worth it. You would be better off paying a little more around the corner at Green Rose where they do an amazingly professional job. Next time I'm passing, I will speak to Elegance about what they did to my pants and will update this review with their response.

Took my outfit in to have alterations completed on Thursday and advised I would like to pick it up the next day or Saturday morning. I was told it would be ready at 5pm Friday. At 5.15pm I went to pick it up and it was not ready. The daughter advised that the docket says pick up next Friday. After advising this was not the arrangement she began to raise her voice and swearing at me dropping the “f” bomb. I told her she needs to stop swearing at me and learn some manners the owner (Mother) intervened and advised I was right and her husband made a mistake. I also explained that I was unable to read the docket as I am blind in one eye to which the daughter said was “not her problem”. The daughter then continued to be rude and in the end I advised that karma would come back to her for her malicious behaviour. She then said and I quote “looks like karma already came to you as that is why you are blind in one eye”Never in my life have I ever felt so disabled or helpless.Do yourself a favour and find someone else and stay away from this soulless, unethical business who has forgotten their manners.

I am so angry! I asked for the straps on my dress to be shortened and instead they removed them altogether. I waited 4 days for my alterations and 2 days before my event I ended up with a strapless dress I had just bought for a special occasion. They charged me $15 for it too. Why would I pay that for something I could have done myself?!

My mrs dress required some alterations and the price quoted was very good. The lady gave us advice what should be done to my mrs Forever New dress. Friendly and excellent service.

Had two very expensive skirts completely ruined at this place. If you want quality tailoring of clothes go elsewhere.

Consistently great service. Always have fair prices and reasonable timeframes. All my alterations have been done with care. The ladies are always friendly and happy to help with whatever alteration needs I have.

Have cycled approx 30 garments through the shop for alterations - all have been completed to highest standard. No complaints.

Went here to alter a few pieces and I am so happy with the service! Recently changed owners and under new management and honestly they’re so easy to communicate with, I highly recommend as they are super quick and fairly priced plus the ladies there are super friendly and welcoming ☺️

They did a great job replacing a zip on my doona, got it done the next day and were the cheapest price compared to everyone else!

Great pricing and the seamstresses were nice and did a great job. The lady at reception however was very unfriendly, grumpy, perhaps customer service was not her cup of tea.
