Macfarlane Generators, Brendale, QLD

Trevor and Josh at MacGen went above and beyond to help us when we needed a new generator. They could have just sold us the generator we thought we wanted (like the previous place did) but instead they asked us to bring our food truck in to make sure it was the right size for us. They went through all our equipment taking peak current ratings. In the end they concluded that we’d be okay with our first choice of generator and didn’t try to sell us something bigger than we really needed. They also took their time to go through best practices using the unit to get longevity out of it. We chose to go to macgen because a few of their employees had approached us at events (during their days off) to recommend their place for servicing. Employees going out of their way to recommend their workplace on their day off says a lot about a place in my eyes.

Josh was great. I arrived just before closing time and Josh bent over backwards to help. He ran through the pro’s and con’s of a number of generators and even started the one I was interested in.Great service - highly recommended.John

My husband and I built in a new suburb 4.5 years ago and although we have underground power during the storm season in particular we often are subjected to power outages. We primarily work from home with what our job entails so it is very disruptive when we are out for days or a week even. We decided no more. We approached Macfarlane Generators and couldn't have come across a more professional team and company. We had contacted a number of companies, many didn't bother to see the quote through, some never even came out to look at the property and work out the best solution for us and just guessed, and one in particular just outright wanted to rip us off. However Macfarlane were the complete opposite. Not only did they come out and do a proper quote and checked the house out to quote on the right generator, they did it promptly and with ut most professionalisim. We only had it installed this morning and all the guys, Byron, the guys who did the electricity (sorry I cannot remember your names) and even the driver....very very nice guys and oh so professional and they know what they are doing. It was such a pleasure to have such an amazing team of guys install our generator. It was such a buzz even when they tested it and I could have turned literally everything on in the house, yes, our ducted aircon was on as were our two massive computer systems...and yet it was running off the generator. Thankyou so so much guys for doing this....and now I say, like Joe Swanson of Family Guy to mother nature and black outs BRING IT ON!""

The whole team at Macfarlane Generators were amazing to deal with. We drove from the Sunshine Coast to have my coffee van generator assessed as they were the most helpful over the phone and provided good advice. The team were very honest with the possible outcome/charges that I may need to spend on my unmaintained generator. The team worked overtime and were able to install a brand new generator whilst we were there, to save me having to miss a few days work and also the drive back down to Brendale on an other day.Overall very happy with the service we received, would highly recommend to anyone needing assistance/servicing of a generator!!

Very happy to recommend MacFarlane Generators for excellent service and quality products. I needed a 10KVA+ genny for our new ice cream van and Josh and the boys took the time and effort to run a tong test (no cost) with all appliances running to determine my exact requirements and make an appropriate recommendation. Picked up my new genny yesterday, perfect for what we need. Good job guys. Will be dealing with you again in the future as our No Moo 4U Gold Coast franchise expands.

Excellent customer service from Joshua. He organised a quick turnaround on fixing a faulty generator and got us out of a pickle by doing that. Great workshop team too. Highly recommend Joshua and the team from Macfarlane for generator service.

Gave them a call and spoke to Josh. He answered all the technical questions I asked with clear answers and in a very good manner. As a result I thought that is the business I will buy from" . I actually drove across Brisbane to collect the generator at Brendale. I was given a clear demo on how to use the generator. Started by trying to get a price and availability for some Dorman engine parts, starter motor and filters. Sales person in brisbane would never call back, had rang several times. The last time I got him he said he was going on holidays and to deal with Mark at melbourne. Multiple phone calls and still have not got a quote. Nobody bothers to call back. Receptionist takes a message every time. I started this epic journey in december 2022, its now the 30th january and I am still no closer to quote. I call every week, sometimes twice. Terrible service.
