Zac, Ray and the boys did a great job. They nailed the Laundry and study cabinets, then created the perfect outdoor kitchen on our back deck.They were great to deal with, very patient with some of our changes and provided some great design idea's.I'd highly recommend them.

Excellent quality work by Zac and Ray in renovating our new house! Very responsive to our needs and great attention to detail to ensure that even the finest details are on point. A renovation is a big deal, so it’s important to get the right team involved. If you’re like us, you’ve contacted a series of builders, maybe had a few come over and quote. It takes time and there’s really no way to know how good any builder will be until the job is underway. So I hope this helps a little.We talked to several companies prior to our renovation. And they all seemed great, but we were looking for something a little extra. While most companies worked on a model of “leave it to us and come back when it’s done”, we preferred to be more involved. It’s not that we wanted to micro-manage, but we knew our old house was going to have many challenges, and we wanted to make sure each stage of the project was handled in a way that best worked for the property and our needs.When Zac and Ray came to quote us, we were pretty much instantly filled with confidence that they were going to put our interests first. While other companies told us what they could do, SB Building were more interested in finding out what we needed. They asked questions, and didn’t hesitate to offer solutions for things we weren’t sure about. That’s a huge difference, and it made us choose them right away.When the build started, we were all nerves. We had no idea how things would go. But Zac and Ray kept us up to date and provided lots of assurances. And they delivered, every time. We’d regularly pop by and check things out, and were always impressed by how much progress was made in such a short time.It should be mentioned that we’ve got an old place in the Inner West with challenging access — no street parking, laneway access only. Working here means getting in and out of tight places and also dealing with neighbours who share the back lane. SB’s crew very kind and accomodating to our neighbours, which kept everyone happy for the duration of the project.On that note, Zac’s and Ray’s constant positivity was always reassuring. That meant a lot to us.You hear a lot of horror stories about renovations; how long it took, how hard it was getting anyone to do anything, how much costs would creep up and up. We understand the reality of renovations, and expected that things could change along the way. But the overall time spent was more than reasonable, and there were very few extra costs — most of which we expected due to the age of our house. And you couldn’t have asked for a nicer crew. They respected us and our property, and we are super happy with the result.Oh, and a special shout out to Basil the tiler! Our front porch, bathroom and kitchen are breathtaking!I’ve already recommended SB Building to a handful of people who are considering renovations. From project initiation to completion, the SBBM team have been a pleasure to deal with. They managed their sub-contractors well and were flexible when our project schedule was interrupted through COVID. The finishes were very good with appropriate consultation throughout the project.
