Highly Recommend!I contacted Robbie from Solar Power Direct as we were continually getting high powerbills despite having had two solar system and a Tesla battery installed by another solar company many years ago. Robbie quickly identified that one of my solar systems was not producing power and had a fault, he laid out a few options for me and I decided to give my home a full system upgrade. Quoting was quick and easy with a detailed solar plan prepared for me with an image of the proposed new system on my roof with satellite mapping.I compared the pricing that was offered and Solar Power Direct were well in front and very competitive, especially since they don’t use external contractors for installation. Long story short, solar power direct replaced the outdated System with a brand new 13kW system that on its first cloudy day got my battery to 100% for the first time ever and kept me completely off grid over night! The Solar Power Direct Electricians arrived on time, were polite and professional and you can tell they took pride in their work - they spent the whole day at my home removing and replacing the old inoperative system and made sure everything not only worked well but also looked great.

Warranty replacement of my faulty inverter was carried out promptly, as promised, and efficiently. All now working as intended. Thanks to all involved.An update on that situation has not turned out so well. The replacement inverter proved to be noticeably less efficient than the original one, returning lower solar output figures than previously. Sadly, Solar Power Direct would not accept that there was a problem (as if I would bring up the issue just for amusement) and would not even arrange a service call to investigate the situation. So, what started as a really effective system is now not operating at optimum capability, and I am left with the inconvenience and considerable expense of purchasing a new inverter. Not a great outcome.

Great customer service from the team. Updates were consistent and informative. Felt valued as a customer. Installation team were fantastic and ask questions on my preferences. Help me install the app and instructions on how to use. Very happy

Great service. We had and existing solar system and we added extra panels and a Tesler Powerwall battery as well.They guided us through the process and here we are three days later living of our own solar and battery. Not relying on the grid has been the best decision we made.The guys who came and fitted everthing were absolutely fantastic.Would recomend this company as a great south australian buisness.

What can i say!Every single engagement with this company has been above excellent! The Quality of sales, service, installation, tech support and after sales is second to none.....we received a quality system at a good price. Trades are all in-house, so workmanship was A+ and accountable. Please give this SA owned and Operated business a go....you won't be disappointed :)Footnote: Go the biggest system you can afford.....during winter it will pay back in spades!

Solar power direct is the a very good solar company in Adelaide South Australia that I can honestly say. The office team highly communicated with the installation team immediately with my requirements and worked around me. I was not redirected to a overseas office with my calls or text messages. I am proud to say that I am now saving with my electricity bills with immediate effect.

From the moment we approached Solar Power Direct (SPD) for a quote we were impressed with the Service. Steve was personal and informative. He quickly ascertained we had been previously searching for information and were already well versed in potential needs, capabilities and products. He adapted to our situation and value added. Things were similar to others but what impressed us most was SPD was a place of ONE-STOP. You purchase your product, installation and any follow-up service all from the one source - SPD. They will be with us for the future. Steve continued with his good listening and offered alternative installation designs. The final outcome is attention to detail and visually very appealing. We love that the panels are lined up meticulously with the roof structure and within themselves. It is art on the roof. This was important to us as the panels are visible from the front of the house. They do not detract from the aesthetics of the home. The installers were prompt in arriving and there was minimal disturbance whilst they were there during the day. I was truly amazed at the tidiness of their operation. There was not a screw or small clip of anything left behind. Well done to the apprentice for his attention to the cleanliness of the site as they departed. Things were swept and a blower vac removed all dust. Again the installation was attention to detail with it aesthetically aligned even though everything is down the side of the house 'out of sight'. Importantly to us the slim line of the Alpha system means I can still get the bins in and out. We then waited for the power provider to upgrade our meter box. A few days later we had a call from Henry of SPD asking if we minded them coming earlier on the day to finalise the battery instal. Of course not! So the battery is now fully operational. I was a little slow in comprehending some for the operations of our system and Henry with enormous patience led me through all my concerns and with the aid of the App I can now fully understand what is happening with our new system. I am most impressed in these early days with the function of our new panels and battery which is exceeding my expectations.

Super responsive, great communication, helpful and knowledgeable. Electrician turned up on time and was quick and professional. Would recommend this company.
