Unfortunately my only experience here wasn't good, so I can only give 1 star. Looking at other reviews it does look as though the majority of customers have had no issues, so perhaps I was just unlucky.I found this hairdresser to be disorganised and ended up having to go elsewhere. We had a couple of hair appointments made months in advance for an event, but they changed both the booking time and the person doing it. We were unable to make the time they changed our booking to, and they advised they couldn't move it back to what we had booked.

I have been going to this salon since 2018 and have never had a bad experience! Marlee and Jess have been my stylists over the years and have always gone over and above to ensure i'm pleased with each and every appointment! They accommodate all my thoughts and ideas and tailor each appointment to my needs! Tavia was my stylist when i went platinum blonde and ensured my hair was super healthy every step of the way! cannot recommend this salon enough and the prices are so good also!

Best haircut I've ever had. Just come over from UK & even a chin length bob was making me swelter - despite the fact my hair is very thin & fine. Wish I could remember the name of the stylist! She has given my hair lift & texture & very gently advised me that if she did it exactly as I wanted bits of it would end up sticking out & I'd get annoyed with it. Perfect advice, thank you.

Jaime, Leaha & the amazing team at Lanyon Hair Centre & Beauty Bar have always gone above and beyond for me and my family.I started coming to the salon in the first week that it opened & over the last couple of years I have been in to have beauty services on regular occasions & everytime a colour change takes over my thoughts they give me results that far exceed my expectations.They are priced fairly given the quality of work that they produce.The team are amazing. I cannot fault them at all. I recommend them to everyone I know and even those I don't know. I have never had someone come back with a negative thing to say about them.

I’ve been going to the Salon since Jamie and Leaha took over some years ago. Can’t fault them in any of the services. The girls are approachable and deliver high quality services. If you’re after a friendly and experienced salon for all your hair and beauty needs don’t look anywhere else.

I recently had to find a new hairdresser because my regular one moved out of Canberra. I was in the mood for a colour change, after years of being vibrant red I decided I wanted to go pinky/rose gold.I was recommended to go see Tavia and the team.I managed to get an appointment last minute a Monday afternoon for a Tuesday midday. I went in with photos of what I was after & I was assured it was possible. I was so happy, Tavia made me feel so comfortable.I ended up leaving with a colour different to what I was after but I was in love with anyway.Two days had passed and I decided to give my hair a wash with a shampoo that Tavia recommended. I got out of the shower & my hair was patchy brass, orange, bright pink, yellow with chunky thick blunt lines where my roots met the colour. It looked like I attacked my hair with bleach at home. So upset and embarrassed I messaged the salon & asked if they could fix it, I didn’t want a refund, just to get it fixed so I could get my confidence back. I hate confrontation, but I couldn’t leave my hair like that. It was so upsetting.They got me in the following Tuesday to fix for FREE - as I was assured multiple times over the phone.I was super grateful.I went in and I was met with a different hairdresser & they took me straight to the basin to tone my hair. I don’t know how long I was there for exactly but it felt like forever. Much longer than the first time.After toning Tavia directed me to the chair and told me they’d have to charge me $35 if I’d like my hair blow dried and extra on top of that if I’d like it straightened. My hair was ringing wet, dripping everywhere - I was so upset I had to pay. So embarrassed too. I went back to get my hair fixed, not that I’d done anything wrong and I had to pay?She dried my hair and I just felt like crying. My hair had clearly been over toned. Something went wrong. My roots were near black, and my ends were colourless, grey, purple-y. I don’t even know how to describe it. So upset I paid and left.I’ve washed it a million times now to try and lift the toner and get it back to a lighter colour other than dull, grey, purple hair, but my hair is still so flat, colourless and super lifeless. I’m so upset. I will need to cut a good 6 inches off my hair to get the ends healthy again after all the bleaching, toning, washing and heat styling. I’m absolutely heartbroken about the results.I asked for rose gold and after the washes to get the grey/purple toner I’m a Mousey brown with black/brown roots.No where NEAR close to what I requested. If they couldn’t do what I had asked for, I don’t know why they would have attempted it.So so upset with how I was treated when I went back.

I have been to this hair salon many times now and I love it. I'm quite a fussy blonde and I have had great difficulty finding someone who gets it right. Since attending this Lanyon hair centre, I have saved $100-$120 per visit, and the results are better compared to previous salons I have attended. Tavia always does an amazing job with my blonde and my hair has never looked/ felt better. The vibe in the salon is always warm, welcoming and I always feel comfortable. Keep up the great work guys!

The hairdresser that coloured my hair did it completely differently to what I asked for, after me showing multiple pictures and having an in depth discussion about what I wanted. She then told me I would have to come back on a different day so she could fix it. So I paid $300 for hair I wasn’t happy with. Upon my return appointment a few weeks later, they tried to charge me ANOTHER $300 for the “fix” appointment! I was understandably shocked, and refused to pay. The manager tried to bully me into paying, but I flat out refused, she then told me I should find another salon! SERIOUSLY. As if I would go back to a salon that tries to make their clients pay for THEIR mistakes!At no time did I receive any type of apology, either. Such unprofessional conduct!

Eyebrow wax and tint was very rushed, the girl seemed nice enough. The experience took less than 10 minutes.
