Amazing home it really shows of what Metricon can do as a builder. Truly inspirational home for anyone wanting inspiration for their new home or for anyone looking for a top end build. It has beautiful finishes wherever you look, the luxury timber ceiling looks amazing. Nicole the lady that shows the house is fantastic, very welcoming and happy to help. The kitchen looks amazing, a kitchen that any chef would be proud of. The staircase is remarkable, truly a work of art. Every bedroom is finished off to a really high standard. Don't know how I feel about soo many ensure bathrooms, cleaners nightmare but the concept sounds good. Inside and out this is a dream home!

Be warned.Firstly this is from someone who has experienced the tragedy of building with these shonks, not just looking through their false and misleading display homes.I vividly remember looking through a beautiful display home advertised for $340,000 in Sydney 7 years ago and then asking the salesperson what it would cost to buy this home as is. That’s when I was told around $580,000 - the bells should’ve been ringing loud and clear at that time. Obviously they don’t show you what the base model looks like….At the point you sign up with them you will not have seen any choices and therefore any real idea of the final cost.You will be told things like they will throw in 3 free 2.4m glass timber doors - not that to match these doors through the house will cost you $1,000’s - or that not to match them will look stupid. Just one example.You will be shown beautiful fixed windows not told that they will stuff up cross ventilation.You will ask for alterations to suit your family and lifestyle. They will be very accommodating with this but then not provide building advice about incompatible building choices you make at your Studio M appointment. Or how air conditioning may be impacted.You will be expected to make the selection choices for your new million dollar home in about 3-4hours. But you are not provided these choices in advance.You will be asked to choose facade choices, but not given pros and cons of each. It is all a facade, not practical advice which would help with things like ventilation and longevity.No advice will be provided to build your retaining walls before commencement of the house. Or to get your private power pole in early. They don’t care that this will cost you tens of thousands more later.Your build may go smoothly - ours did until it was time for handover. The site supervisor of our home knew we needed to move in with haste, and as a result no cleaning was done. The brand new carpet was used as a painters drop sheets. The garage floor still has paint, glue, cement, plaster all over it. Etc etc. there were hundreds of defects on our home - it was dreadful and if I did not let go it would’ve cost us our marriage.One of the trades who later attended our home let slip that a QA check had never been completed on our home. Like many other things I believe.Our main bathroom has leaked twice! There are major defects which they are rejecting as their responsibility. No fall on the bathroom floor leaves people likely to slip every time they get out of the shower. The water sits for days if not cleaned up…not to mention the mould issues it creates. They even try to say that they have no responsibility before the end of their major defect period.Fortunately, I can tell my story and I can do that within my industry where many people might then choose not to build with these shonks. I am in the unique position where I am asked about which builders to use regularly. Can’t wait for the next industry or franchise meetings to share my experience.Truth is not defamation.They are Con by name and Con by nature.
