Very organic, very rustic and yep the facilites arent 5 star but you are camping, in nature surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife and not in a commercial, noisy caravan park. Once you meet and speak to the owner you understand you are somewhere special and its an experience!

Stunning location and great to have lots of space. This is a rustic choice though... Facilities are clean and tidy though limited - read the website description carefully as it's all there. While it's about 20-25 mins from Hall's Gap, we enjoyed the beauty and the quiet.

Beautiful camping ground. Really enjoy the place and hospitality of the owner is top notch. One issue I encountered was the cable provided was not designed to handle the heat, so unable to maintain proper amperage eventhough I tricked it by adding extension cable to put the heat away from Tesla. Perhaps add a proper electrical cabling would be great as it will provide safety as well as stable current.

Spectacular views on a beautiful property with its own wetlands and walking trails. The most wonderful and helpful hosts you’ll ever meet. Their care for the wildlife means the park is never over crowded (like all the other caravan parks we saw around the Grampians). We loved using the communal fit pit area for campfire cooking and marshmallows.

Had a wonderful one night stay in the campgrounds. Aiden the owner was super helpful and insightful.I recommend waking up early to see all the wildlife and hiring a bonfire to make the night extra special.

Firstly I will start by giving this place a 5/5 for the native wildlife and surrounds, but that is sadly the best I can say for it. This place is family run - not the run of the mill caravan and camping park FYI. I called to book the place which took 15 mins of the owner taking every last detail he could from me and to pay upfront, this is no issue only that when you arrive to 'Paradise' they also require you to have a 15 min induction and orientation to the place whereby I filled in a form with the same details I gave over the phone, plus made to wait at their 'office' (a rundown old hut) before being met and taken to our plot… The induction went over every last detail - mainly what you can and cannot do (how fun) then we were also given 3 pamphlets including the manual with all the details just told to us! Now after a 3 hours drive like most people me and my partner really wished to get to our plot, set up and relax - this was not the protocol apparently. We were also only stopping for the night so not there to sight see, a huge waste of time having the owner going over what to see, would be good if they took time to ask us our purpose perhaps? The place itself is lack luster - they water the ground so much so its soaked through (in summer) so its very uncomfortable given the grass is not mowed and the damp brings every insect from all over to visit. Before we could finally set up, the owner's dad came over to give even more info on local birds with another pamphlet! The amenities are so so; the bathrooms are old and run down with no hand soap only bars of soap (yuck), the camp kitchen is dirty and spider ridden, and trashed old cars and junk all over the place. No one expects modern, but the facilities could do with some love and a few modern bits to update it. We were told a fire could not be done except in the communal area (once the owner decided after dark if they would allow it!) and the best part is the 'communal firepit' is located none other than at the front door of their home - how convenient… they will charge you for everything; firewood $36 per barrel (lol) oh and you CANNOT take any fallen branches from the campground FYI, lemons from the tree 50 cents a piece! Kayak - $30 half day Oh and of course a compulsory instruction session!Thankfully we only stayed the one night, I get the impression that the owners dislike for having people on their property is far outweighed by their desire to take people's money, the plots are not cheap ranging from $50-$160 - I am not entirely sure what they are doing with all this money as the place has not been updated since the 80s (their words). My advice to the owners; 1. go check out your competition and see where you are lacking in 'guest experience', 2. a communal wall with all the instructions, map, and history lessons would be far more helpful than being lectured about it (might save you on printing also). This was a very awkward stay indeed which is a shame because it has the potential to be very good.

This was a really cool and authentic camping experience. It's rustic and you really feel like you're in the great outdoors. The owners were friendly and helpful. Beautiful site with kangaroos and wallabies all around - really magical. The sky at night was stunning. There was even hot water which was welcome for a shower after a day of hiking. Highly recommend.

Nice quiet place for camping, close to everything, the place has amazing cool history and wildlife. Was a pity we get one of the few spots with no shade, so maybe double check this when you book. Rather than that, everything was great! Shared fridge, hot water, and lots of kangaroos to see, Recommended!
