Muppets. It seems Detector Inspector thinks people have nothing better to do than sit around waiting for their technicians to maybe show up on time. As if the 3-hour windows they provide as a technician arrival time isn't already bad enough, their people don't even then arrive during this window! I had an appointment" today between 09h30am-12h30 but the technician was a no show

Should have looked at the reviews…famous last words? Property built July 21 and would have thought it would be a straight forward process but they seem to find faults even when there aren’t any. We had a licensed electrician check one of their ‘major compliance faults’ and turns out despite the assertions from detector inspector of something wrong, there was nothing wrong. No refund offered they just found something else wrong which I will pay someone else to check. I don’t get it, your name is your business, why do this for a few hundred bucks? do the job you are paid for and don’t try to put it over people.I’d give them the benefit of the doubt but just the arrogance and not even accepting they made a mistake. If the ‘compliance fault’ on the relatively new hot water heater is also a mistake I will be making a complaint. I’ve already paid but happy to take the hit and just get someone else in who i can trust to do a proper job. Very disappointed, Are you paying subbies a commission per job?

I had a plumber come to my house to do a gas check.They capped of my gas, didn’t inform me or my agent until the next day- this was an urgent matter as my hot water service and stove are now not working.You would think at the least I would have a note saying I have no hot water or gas.Tried to call their after hour number but it just keeps giving me a voice recording.The plumber that came also went into parts of my house (bedrooms / bathroom) as he left dirt marks through the entire house.Not to mention the amount of rescheduling they did for this appointment and the electrical one they did last month.Absolute nonsense..

Easy and quick to arrange, change, cancel or postpone. Not complicated or too time consuming. Always the option to speak to someone if needed. Very streamlined and convenient. Nice work DI guys!

If i could give no stars I would. The detector inspector came out to my rental property today and have done a very dodgy electrical inspection. i can not see a single powerpoint/switch that has been removed from the wall for an inspection, you can see that they are still painted onto the wall, there are also cracked switch plates and switches ready to pop out of the switch and present a electrical hazard. i have included a selection of photos as proof. I cant believe so many real-estate agents use this substandard service. And then while on the phone to you guys, you keep transferring me to a department that is currently closed for the day sending me around in a loop. Now thats QUALITY service from your overseas call centers.

Do not recommend. Does not value the customers time.Was asked to book in for Gas Inspection twice. Cancelled on twice. I had to block out time in my day (3 hours) to ensure I would be at home when they arrived. 6 hours of my life lost, being cancelled on. Third time, I got fed up and gave them a 1 hour window to show up. Let's see how they doYOU MUST VALUE CUSTOMERS TIME. Will definitely drop this provider after this experience.

Very quick service, very professional and polite when entering the home. I Missed my appointment but was easy to reschedule another appointment via a link. Feel safe knowing the smoke alarm has been checked..

This review is in regards to the bookings and administration side of things. The Technician that came out was lovely, did a great job, and got it done quickly.We have been pestered in and outside of business hours by this company every year for these inspections. The bookings system allows extremely few > 5pm inspection times, which is ridiculous in the financial climate we are in at the minute. Myself and my partner are at work full time, and a lot of time for extra hours too.When I finally managed to get a time between 4:30 and 6:30 (after a ridiculous amount of harassment by this company), they then called on the day and moved the appointment time to 3pm.In most cases this would not have worked, and the poor tech would have arrived and wasted his time because no one would’ve been home. Luckily(or not), on this particular day I was off sick from work with a virus and severe fever. In addition to this, the only reason I know the appointment was moved was because a voicemail was left on my phone. There was no confirmation that this was appropriate from our end at all.This company needs to keep in mind that the homes they are coming to inspect are just that - people HOMES. You cannot reschedule appointment times at random for people to turn up at someone’s home. Especially without any form of confirmation.

Besides the fact I think this business is a major scam, they are also completely incompetent. Came to do a backflow test on our fire service, pressurised the wrong pipe and blew the pipe. (I can understand, Things happen) but for the next 4 hours my business, the street was all flooding because the worker couldn’t work out nor had any idea on how to turn the mains off! As a plumber would this not be a first things first? Yarra valley water had to come out eventually turns out the young kid who started the mess had his knee resting on the main directly next to where he was working. This happened before Christmas and is still going through insurance 7 months later.

I'm happy with my appointments as I always reschedule the days when they're available only from Mon to FriJust to get my smoke alarm fixed or changed whatever they do.And they guys are very friendly.
