The Sebel Whitsundays Airlie Beach

Magnificent ocean view from our appartment's balcony!Pitty our kitchenette didn't have any oven or cooking facility, it did however had microwave.They were plates and bowls, but too small to have cereal in it.Appartment was spacious with large balcony. Entry to the building is quite steep.Sweeming pool is great, clean and heated.

Comfortable, clean apartment with good appliances and great views. Very comfortable king bed and single beds. Beautiful pool area, large pool, small toddler pool and spa. The area has been refurbished and looks lovely. We had a BBQ with friends one evening in the separate area with outdoor table and chairs, which was really convenient. Staff were friendly and efficient. We will definitely stay there again.

The room was lovely and spaciousA big spa bath with jets.The 3 pools were nice, one for kids, one spa pool and the main poolOur room was ground floor with direct pool access which was great.Place had a dryer and washer too.Pool was warm.Friendly receptionist at check in.Lift access.Cons: no restaurant, a bit of a walk from the town's main strip, annoying noise in the bedroom coming from outside it happened every 20 seconds without fail so wasn't great.All these cooking utensils like spatula, spoons, salad bowls etc but no cooking facility - the extractor fan was left but the stove had been removed... not sure why they left the utensils.We locked our key in accidentally and tried to call, it took quite a while for them to acknowledge our call and the fee was $100 which I feel is excessive but oh well.

The staff were always very helpful and friendly. Assisted with our late check in and always informative.The 2brm unit we had was clean with bay/marina views.Handy to town via a short walk or drive.All in all a very nice place.

After a disappointing look at the room my partner originally booked, we decided to stay at Sebel instead. When explaining our situation to front office the gentleman there was more then helpful, I explained it was my 40th birthday and my partner and I wanted our own personal balcony and was disappointed to find the original hotel we booked was a shared balcony. We where checked in within in minutes, parked the car and entered our room to a bottle of bubbly with note wishing me a happy birthday. We Couldn’t fault this hotel and enjoyed every minute of our stay.

We stayed for 4 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment -the room is well appointed with all amenities you need including beach towels. Whilst we didn’t cook in the apartment besides toast in the toaster, you could easily prepare meals in the room if so inclined .The pool area is great although the pool & spa are not heated, there’s also a BBQ area which is totally seperate. There was a washing machine & dryer in the apartment & views from the balcony look over the marina with a sun lounge & 4 seat table - it’s only a 5-10 min walk into town. The marina in front has 2 restaurants & a cafe, we dined in the Italian restaurant & it was great food & also went to the sailing club one night & to LaTabella all within walking distance. We hired mopeds for 2 days to get around the area & that was fun - also took a flight out to the GBR which was awesome. The only downside is the entrance to the resort via a very steep driveway or about 50 steps via the pool area, unless you are entering via the basement car park where the elevator is located, staff were very friendly & informative. Would still recommend it as a place to stay in AB if you want to be away from the noise in AB itself.

We had a 10-night stay in a 1-bedroom pool access room.Hotel staff were amazingly friendly and hospitable from the get-go. Always ready to help and offer a solution or tips on where to go and what to do.There is quite a steep hill to get up which could be challenging for some as the taxis and shuttles don't drive up.Loved the pool and spa area, even a BBQ area with tables and chairs. The gym was also quite good. Good variety of equipment. Beautiful views.Only a 10-minute walk to the main street or a 2-minute walk to the bus stop.Unfortunately, when we got there, we were hit with rains and couldn't do much due to bad weather and floods.Had a few issues with the room when we arrived such as dust, but Kane took care of it right away. Ended up with a couple of leaks but that's to be expected given the amount of rain we had. Overall, the apartment kitchens and bathrooms could also do with an update.Thank you so much for your hospitality Kane, A++. Your service is the reason I will return. I’m surreally staying at The Sebel Airlie Beach. I’ve had such a wonderful visit so far, check in was a breeze and the front desk staff were so helpful and friendly. I walked into an apartment that was wonderfully cooled and presented. All staff seem to genuinely care about your stay, and have had multiple conversations with staff about how my stay was going and if they could improve in anyway. The location is just enough away from the rat-race to provide a relaxed and quiet stay, but close enough that it’s a comfortable walk to anywhere you might want to go. 110% recommend The Sebel Airlie Beach and will return when I’m back in the area.

We enjoyed a pleasant and comfortable stay at the Sebel Whitsundays. The room was very spacious and well equipped for a week long stay. We could prepare meals and do laundry without any hassle. The facilities are limited, other than the pool and gym. The location is a short walk to Airlie Beach CBD and restaurants. The hotel staff were excellent when we needed to extend our stay due to bad weather and flight cancellations.
