The Gate Bar and Bistro
The service was fantastic however, the menu leaves a lot to be desired. One vegetarian at our table and they refused to make up a garden salad for her in light of the fact that there was 1 vegetarian option in the entire menu. Offered her a cesare salad minus chicken and bacon, which is basically lettuce (at the same price). Really poor effort in this day and age. Would not have been difficult to whip up a large garden salad. Don't think we will be eating here again.

Family birthday on 4/5 table of 5 for lunch. waitress was amazing.. on the receipt it says 00 trainee.. absolutely brilliant and I wished I had got her name. We all agreed food was first class. Definitely recommend

The food and service were brilliant. Not an extensive menu, but delicious and generous servings. The service was friendly and fairly quick. It's on the expensive side, for pub fare, but overall we really enjoyed the night and would highly recommend. The chicken parmi was one of the best we've had. Family-friendly.

The wife and I decided to give this establishment a try. We arrived and although we didn’t book, we were able to walk in.Once seated we were greeted by a friendly waitress who made us feel welcome.My wife ordered the fish and chips, and I ordered the supreme pizza.My wife said the fish and chips was half decent, not oily and was very fresh and tasteful along with the side of garden salad.The pizza on the other hand was over cooked and hard, after struggling eating a few slices I stopped, the pizza base was burnt, dry and hard, not at all enjoyable. If I was to come back I would not order it again. Our meal came to a total of $75 - about what I would expect to pay for dinner and drinks.Overall not the worst place, but also not on par with other similar establishments I have gone to.The customer service was 5 star, the food is at best a 3 star.Doug D

The place is nice but cramped. The area is confused with some places not getting any heating in winter and some no cooling in summer. It always appears they're making the best of a bad situation. They have a rotating set of taps of interesting craft beers but this only accentuates their lack of range as they're one and done.

Friendly and efficient service.Meals brought out together, plates cleared away promptly, and the table had been cleaned properly before we sat down. All of which can be a rarity these days, especially without having to ask for it to be done.Three of the five of us had the fish tacos for a leisurely lunch. Tasty and small enough to allow for wine, coffee, and a dessert, too - given that we had the time. The pork belly and veggies Ramen noodle special dish was a generous serving, with a kick.

Went there for a company function, Fantastic food, great beer, and wonderful service. What more could you want from a bar n bistrol? Fairly priced for its amenities offered, Personally i d prefer to sit outdoor, was getting too much noise even when its less than half full during a friday lunch in the lounge dining area. one of its best kind in the area.

Good pub with some great craft beers. Good selection of beers, something for everyone. Food is good, but they do need more vegitarian options. Great beer garden and general sitting areas and large dining area.Huge screen in the beer garden and lots of screens in the sports bar with a variety of sports on. Main events are also shown.
