I discovered this hidden giant Banana on a trip to the town in Autumn 2021. I’m hoping that one day the council will paint it road safety yellow. It’s an important Australian landmark. A visit is highly recommended. I have spoken to the mayor who was supportive of painting it, but so far nothing has been done. I hope, at a minimum, that it will be added to the register of Australian ‘big’ things, like the Big Pineapple, the Big Prawn and the Big Merino.

As banana shaped traffic islands go, this has to be one of the best I've ever seen. It's tempting to use a banana related pun in this review, but there are probably already a bunch of them. Put it on your bucket list of places to see before you die.
