Part of knapsack reserve we found it dog friendly with plenty of tracks from flat open fire trails to challenging tracks like the zigzag I wouldn't take young children down the zigzag track its a steep track with hundreds of stairs but many other sections are great for kids

Easy walk from Knapsack Reserve. Wide, flat tracks. Good mountain biking tracks here. Shelter, no toilets or bin though. View not that exciting, but can keep walking to Viaduct for the more fit people.

You don't have to travel up the hill to get great bushwalks they are on your doorstep at Emu plains. Shout out to Council who are upgrading the tracks

Elizabeth lookout looks over the Penrith area. There are a few different ways to get to this spot. Either an approx 1km 20min walk from Barnett st or a long steep 30/40min walk up through Knapsack stairs from Knapsack Viaduct Trailhead.

Great place for taking your dogs for a run or walk along the trials in the reserve leading to the lookout.

Tough and tiring walk getting up steps from Knapsack Reserve and Vault but views are well worth the pain ;-}. Easier access from top carpark.

Nice views and there are picnic tables here. You can see all the way to the City and North Sydney from here. You have to leave your car at the carpark and walk down the walking trails for 10-15 mins to get to the lookout.

Not the most spectacular view in the area, but easy access along the walking track. We had prams and young children you loved it! The tables under the hut show off the views, and the seclusion of the bush. Lovely for picnics!
