Cosy little cafe with a varied menu. Ordered the eggs benny on a potato rosti, served with one poached egg. I didn't try the coffee as I ordered a tea however my friend later did & it looked nice. The food was yummy the service was friendly, my only negative is that it is very cold inside!!

My Thai fish cakes were predominantly vegetables with Thai inspired seasonings. I wouldn't be going back for that.My husband's steak sandwich was not a sandwich, it was steak on a peice of toast.Overall unimpressed with the misleading descriptions on the menu. And the price for what was served was disproportionate.Coffee was good.I might go back, but try other items.

Never had a bad meal here. Warm cosy atmosphere, friendly staff. Great salads and the chicken and leek pies are delicious.

Great food, friendly and efficient service. The decor of this place is striking but for reasons that are not immediately obvious. Initially it looks kinda run-down but on further observation you realist that you've stepped into a recreated 1920s - 1930s time warp, right down to the antique enamelled teapots. All that's missing is a couple of Model A Fords outside to really complete the look.As Dolly Parton once said, It takes a lot of money to look this cheap."Wonderfully well done. Go for the food - stay for the decor."

Looked at the menu on the window, which stated they served Bircher muesli, which made me go in. Unfortunately, there was no Bircher muesli. I asked the waiter. If I can have scrambled eggs. unfortunately they don’t do it. The only serve poached eggs and omelettes. I was left with no choice but to order their oats porridge. Extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place. There are plenty of other places on Piper Street to choose from.

Once upon a time this cafe used be called Localita & was famous for its coffee. Today the tradition was upheld with a strong long black with rich crema. After the coffee a Guiness pie arrived, (not microwaved, so patience required). The relish with the pie was delicious, however the beef was not tender enough for 5 stars. Definitely worth a visit & I hope the pies are better next time.
