Steve's Auto Barn

Steve's autobarn is not a place to send any car. I'd question whether he even has a mechanics license, my sister who had little mechanical knowledge understandably had a service and asked him to check an oil leak, he proceeded to say he needed to take the engine apart to see where the oil leak was located, my sister agreed and he continued and then replied saying he couldn't find the oil leak. He then presented a box of old parts which accounted to less than 5 parts and then slapped a 5.5k invoice into her hand. He obviously underhanded exploited her little mechanical know how.We later went to another mechanic who was told about the previous service and shown the old parts replaced, he was shocked at the price tag and suggested to ring Steve back about this... we then called him to reason and his response was a tirade of abuse and then hung up the phone...He exploited and took advanyage of my sister. What is the world coming to, I wouldn't take my broken down celica there if he paid me.

Fantastic service, a great bunch of people who are always friendly and always helpful in an emergency. I have had a few lately and they have bent over backwards to get me back on the road. Much appreciated!

I brought my R32 GT-R here after a generic alignment shop claimed to know how to tune my suspension but was clearly not the case after Steve inspected the vehicle.I expected to leave the vehicle with Steve and pick it up later. However, Steve was kind enough to go through the fundamentals of the suspension system and tune it properly.I have only done a 1-2 thousand kms since taking it to Steve a few months ago. But every time it has been driven my car responds really well thanks to the work that Steve put in to make sure I got the best experience from my car.Clean workshop, personable staff.10/10 would recommend.

Steve and his lovely family have serviced and repaired our cars since 2014. They go out of their way to keep us on the road, even if it means fitting us into an already booked-out day before the Christmas break. Steve’s Auto Barn – we can’t recommend them highly enough!

Very good. Instead of just sorting out a problem they sent us to a auto electrician to fix the problem once and for all.

Steve's Auto Barn was recommended to me by locals when I moved to the area and they are a family run business that is clean, professional and top people. I don't think they are the cheapest around but ive felt fully confident with the thorough nature of their work and that if anything went amiss on a repair (it hasn't!) they would ensure to see to it!

Found this place about a year ago booked my car for a service was very happy with the work done was not cheap did take a long time to get car back but no complaints staff are really nice and there work shop was spotless Went back again for oil service no problems just the time I have to leave car there 3rd time I got a steering rack replace the quote was just over $2000 but they did say it might cost more and that's is fair as they have not done one before When i got the car back i was ask to pay over $1000 MORE that is a lot more than the quote but with out question i paid But the wheel alignment was out But did not take it back ASA my fault when the oil service was due not that long after they did the steering rack replace charged me for another wheel alignment again thought that was very wrong but the owner did take his time to explain the work but could never answer why my steering wheel was out when i got the car back from steering rack replace But at the end of the day he change front wheels over and that did the job I have to ask why did i have to pay for another wheel alignment again If you want a clean work shop nice people and pay top $$ for slow service and not good after service you might have a win I trusted you with my car and you took advantage of me You could have done a lot better if you try other mechanics After asking around if any one else had after sales problems wow lots have the same problems happy to take cash and do the work but if something goes wrong you will pay more sadly you lost me and you lost a couple more customer's as well Hope you guys change your way you do after sales lucky me i will and other i now know will find better

I take my cars to Steves for all servicing and repair work. I wouldn’t take them anywhere else. It’s always great service, and the team are always exceptionally friendly and helpful. I couldn’t recommend them enough.
