What separates Marcelino from other coaches is his genuine passion for teaching jiujitsu.Not only does he provide world class training but he provides a safe space for everyone on the mat. The gym culture and comradely is unlike anything I have experienced and I look forward to going to training every single day.Marcelino has helped me overcome a lot of mental barriers when it came to competing and for that I will forever be grateful.

Hands down one of the best places to train in Victoria, if not, all of Australia. Marcelino is one of the best coaches I’ve had the opportunity to train with and his achievements in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can not be matched in Australia.I always tell his students how lucky they are to have him as a teacher because it’s not everyday you can get the opportunity to train with an IBJJF World Champion who is also a great teacher that leads by example.The new gym at Mordialloc is also a very nice facility and all the people I’ve met and trained with have been very friendly and welcoming.If you’re from Melbourne or even come from interstate, such as myself, I highly recommend training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Marcelino and his team, because the quality of Jiu-Jitsu from him and his team comes second to none in Australia.

There are a few Jiu Jitsu gyms in Bayside area, however this is the only place you will be taught by a former IBJJF world champion.Professor Marcelino’s experiences competing at the highest levels and decades of teaching experience is a rare hidden gem here in Australia.Marcelino sets a wonderful environment for all sorts of Jiu Jitsu practitioners to learn and develop skills.
