Johnny Gio’s Pizza Coogee
The second time I tried Johnny Gio’s it was disappointing as the 1st one. The ingredients on the pizza seemed nice, but the burn overpowered everything. To be “safe” we ordered pasta which was far to taste a regular bolognese, maybe they ran out and used a pizza base with some minced beef; flavourless.After posting this review I was contacted by the restaurant and they offered to make my order again without cost; this time the quality of the food was really nice.I really appreciate the following up of my 1st review and the way they took care of my experience, and of their own business.

Johnny Gio’s Pizza Coogee
Delicious! Have only tried the “diavola” pizza but can say it was one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time! They warned it may be spicy but to be honest I didn’t get a big kick from it but that’s probably just my spice tolerance! Great service, friendly staff and tasty pizza, would recommend to anyone.

Very nice pizza. Had a large pepperoni and margherita pizza. Perfect crust, lovely base and not overdone with cheese and the pepperoni had just enough spice to it. It was very busy but the front staff were lovely. Were we told it would take 10mins and it did! Also the pizzas were still hot when picked up! Thank you for such tasty pizza!

Located near Coogee beach, this place genuinely does really good pizzas. They are slightly towards the pricey side where the Margherita pizza was 20$ and Zaza was 25$. This place has extremely limited seating and is better for take out. There are two tables outside their restaurant so if you really want to dine in, make sure you come early!

Johnny Gio’s Pizza Coogee
Ordered via Uber. I paid $31 for their “Burrata Queen Pizza” (basically a margarita with burrata on) and their version of a meat feast “Sammy the butcher”. The “Burrata Queen Pizza” arrived minus any burrata which is pretty ridiculous considering the price (basically paid $31 for a cheese and tomato pizza). Ridiculous for our first time trying this restaurant.

Johnny Gio’s Pizza Coogee
Found them by accident and was so pleased we did. John and Gianna have amazing food and are great people. Been back 5 times in a week. The sandwiches are terrific. I had meatball sandwich, chicken parmigiana, lasagna, pasta and pizza. All the food was spectacular. The bread they make is fresh and the real thing. I would recommend to all and you will return. If Italian is what you are looking for, you found it.
