Overall the Store is good, worth a visit. limited parking at times but otherwise convenient location. Could become problematic for disabled customers due to constrictive placement of stock. Displays can sometimes be in the way. Certainly seen some changes with the more recent appearing to be store layout. This is a partial improvement, although I personally don't enjoy the tanks positions in a line along the wall. It's effective in allowing the previous space to be used for other purposes but I don't think it's apealing. I prefer the L or U shape setup creating the feeling of being surrounded by fish.. it keeps you in longer and allows for a bit more atmosphere.. I'm unfamiliar with your financials but if the Fish aren't dominating sales(as to be expected) your currently in a prime position due to closures to other competitors. An opportunity to expand and attract customers that seek professional advice and speciality items, particularly in the Aquarium section.

All the birds in this pet store looked incredibly sick. Some were at the bottom of their cage and others showed obvious signs of respiratory distress/infection, some had visible feet injuries and were struggling to perch. The aquarium was also in very poor condition, inactive, sick and dead fish. Depressing place

The minimum size for a cage for two mice is, according to Pet mice care | Blue Cross, at least 80cm x 50cm floor space, by 50cm tall. The cage we were told was suitable is 41 x 27 x 41 cm and that was the zolux rody 3. There is definitely NOT enough floor space for two mice to run around, and as a beginner mouse owner I wasn’t sure. I did say while we were at the place that it’s not big enough but the person who “helped us” said it was. And on the topic of the person that helped us, they grabbed the mice by their tails in order to get them into the box. The mice were extremely agitated and looked genuinely frightened. Don’t get anything from here if you genuinely care about your pets as they are NOT toys. Very disappointed and genuinely angry.

Our families have been coming here for many years with our pet needs (tropical fish, cat and dog). Aaron and his staff have always been friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Reminds me of my very first job, in 1972 at an aquarium. Good old fashioned service.

Best in the business. As a breeder myself I trust no one else. I have never lost a fish and always get a great deal. Highly recommend over anyone in the Hunter.

It's much bigger inside than you would expect from the shop front. Super helpful staff!

Good collection of pets and related products though bit pricey still recommend to go there and check as per your needs.

Animals poorly looked after. Went in other day and seen mouse with tail cut off, dead fish and bird cages not clean at all with very sick looking birds in there. Staff was incredibly rude as well when addressing situation. Will not be going back and don’t recommend this place to anyone!
