Great Pun but the meals let it down. I ordered a $54 500g rare Ribeye that came out 20mm thick no bone in site, it was about 300g and cooked Medium. Not to mention you had to go up to the counter to get your salad in a SMALL bowel.

Unfortunately our recent visit was less than wonderful. My husband and I recevied our meals seperately with a 15 minute difference. He had finished by the time I got my simple Chicken and Cashew dish.

My friends and I went here for a friend's birthday dinner Saturday night (15th April), half of us ended up being sick with diarrhoea, feeling nauseous, faint and having stomach pain which we believe was from the food. I won't be going back there. For what it's worth, the staff were nice, the food came out quickly and the presentation was nice, the food tasted nice despite us ending up sick.

Good meals. Homestyle favourites. They do weekly specials and have a salad bar in the bistro which is complimentary with all mains purchased. Quick service. I do recommend booking ahead.The do not supply take away containers. Keep that in mind if you aren't partial to a big meal.

Always a lovely meal. Wedges with cheese and bacon fantastic.Fruit salad was disappointing, looked like it was days old every person on our table couldn't eat it. Watermelon even tasted and looked old. Not fresh at all.

Stopped in for a bistro lunch with the husband at a whim. Staff are very friendly & informative & the venue has a pleasant ambience. The food is exceptional, from the entree to the salad bar. The only downfall I can pick is there is no kid area, though the majority of lunch patrons were elderly. If I could give them 4.5 stars I would.

Came to the bistro today for lunch with a friend.I had the chef’s special which was a chicken parmigiana with Napoli sauce, spinach, mushrooms and melted cheese on top accompanied with chips and fresh salad of my choice.It was absolutely delicious and plentiful.The staff were lovely and only to happy to be attentive.We will definitely be back soon.Thank you for such a pleasant time.

Such great service, atmosphere and food with an open fire which was loverly, we both had the roast lamb and vegies with complimentary dinner roll and bowl of salad and it was all beautiful... we will definitely be back

Had a lovely lunch with a sister branch of cwa today. My pizza was fresh flavoured and well cooked. Yummy. Coffee is excellent. The other meals looked great and quite generous. Fire was on and place was cosy.

The Baxter Tavern is one of those downright “feel-good” pubs.Smiling, friendly, helpful staff.Delicious food, served promptly & hot.I had the koftas & they were amazingly delicious.My husband had the seafood risotto & he too enjoyed his meal.Highly recommended.
