Apollo Bay Hotel
Excellent Hotel in Apollo Bay. Good place to park yourself for the Great Ocean Road Running Festival as at the finish line. Spacious pub with a fireplace in both the public bar and the bistro. Food is excellent with usual schnitzel, parmies and steak. The steak sandwich was very good as was the steak. Wide selection of beer and wine as you would expect. .

Still as awesome as ever!When we arrived we were instantly greeted by a smiling staff member at the top of the stairs and shown to a table in the bar area to order some cold bevvies. The vibe was so good there that we ended out ordering a dozen Oysters and the Bucket of Prawns to snack on.The food was great and the staff - again - awesome like previous visits.Love visiting this place when we get down to Apollo Bay as it just keeps getting better!

Restaurant visit only* Staff are friendly, attentive, well presented, Got the jist. Spacious and kind of chatty at times inside but excitement and energy are smouldering at the very best. Vegan Margherita has fresh basil and cherry tomatoes. The base stands up to the slice folding test but that's probably because it's one small step from being deep fried. Food is 3/5. Pale ale, little creatures, is a bit of joy.

We come here every time we’re in Apollo Bay, it’s always great service and great food, but today we came for our daughters 8th birthday, she was so spoilt, the girls in the bar gave her an ice cream at lunch, then came out with a lava cake with a balloon and candles, they’re amazing here. Made my daughters day so much better! Thanks ladies!

My dinining experience here was mixed. The buffalo wings and the prawn roll were great. The Parma and the schnitzel were a miss. The drinks service was a little on the slow side for a non busy day.

Pizza tasted like it came from the frozen section of the supermarket and had a pile of ham in the middle that was undercooked and was unappetising. The side salad was good value for money. We appreciated being able to get a table over the Easter Holiday without a booking but it's the second time in 2 years we've been a little underwhelmed by the food. The bar does have a lovely atmosphere, especially when the fire is lit. If the quality of the food reflected the amazing location then it'd be 10/10. We'll try again next year!

I had dinner with my coursemates and lecturers at this restaurant. The variety of choices was good and the portion sizes were generous. However, the food price seemed to be overpriced. On the other hand, the beer prices were reasonable. I ordered a satay pizza but it didn't taste like satay at all. It wasn't even close to the taste of satay in Malaysia. Despite that, I would recommend visiting this restaurant for a wholesome dining experience.

Food was great - big size, top quality. Atmosphere was awesome. What really brought it all together though and allowed us to give a 5 star review was the head maître-de, Pickles. He was warm, generous, and a great sense of humour. What a leader. We’ll be back!

We asked for somewhere warm and they sat us next to the fire which was awesome. Nice decor, friendly vibe.TV went on for a game as we were leaving which is a shame for those of us who want somewhere peaceful to relax but good I guess for sports lovers. Everyone stopped talking and stared at the TV.Food was ok. Regular pub food. Reasonable prices considering location on the Great Ocean Road.Easy on street parking.

Excellent attention. The community was at an event and the place was packed. However they managed a location and the food arrived in 20 minutes. We were pleasantly surprised at the speed. Read I highly recommend the place
