Harcourts Byron Bay - Property Management Ballina

We rented a property through Harcourts Byron/Ballina for 12 months. At the end of our lease we cleaned the house to an immaculate state, even hired a professional cleaner for 3 hours - the place was sparkling. We vacated on Thursday, and were 15 mins late handing back the keys. We receive a text message demanding keys in the next 15 minutes or they would the sheriff!!!The following day (Friday) we return to the property as we were unable to catch our cat, we see an open house is taking place and numerous prospective tenants walking through. On Monday and outgoing inspection takes place, and we are nabbed for leaving fingerprints on the door handle and not mopping the tiles (which we did, we left the house sparking!) So Harcourts take a large portion of our bond to clean. This is appalling as numerous people walked through after we cleaned. I have since been made aware that Harcourts listed ya on TICCA for not cleaning the property! It is a travesty that real estates have this unjust power over tenants. Thankfully after this hideous experience we purchased our own home, but I would warn any prospective tenants to beware when feeling with this firm. THEY ARE CROOKS!!!

Deanne is amazing. She always tries to find the best solution to any problem. I appreciate her professionalism and that she sees the human side to the rental market.

Made a booking which they accepted. They then followed up cancelling the booking as they had a better offer. Took them ages to refund my money.To make things worse they then contacted me 6 weeks later saying they had refunded me twice and basically insinuated I owed them money which wasn't the case. I then went out of my way to contact my bank on their behalf to prove I hadn't been paid twice. Still haven't received an apology or thank you for helping them out! Avoid!

Stay clear of dealing with this place!I had a two month rental booking confirmed and pay for then Harcourts cancelled this before I moved in. They tried to charge us an extra $4000! Dodgy business and dishonest people.

Our family has just had a most amazing journey in selling our house through Harcourts and Brett Mc Donald.From our very first phone call we have had such good times and so many laughs. Who would have thought that a business deal like this could have been so much fun.At all times Brett listened to us and our unusual requests, responded quickly and communicated . That was the best bit , he always communicated , kept us updated and in the know at all times.We had quite high expectations of what we would get for our property , where others tried to talk us down Brett's response was I believe in this house."I have recommended his services to friends who have enjoyed the same sort of outcomes that we have had.Thanks Brett
