I attended the sharpening course held over the weekend and we were really well looked after all weekend and I gained some life long skills and a new attitude towards keeping all my tools sharp. We covered plane blades, chisels, kitchen knives, wood turning tools eg, skews, gouges, parting tools and a few more that i probably forgot to mention. We even covered how to look after planes and basic restoration tips for old tools. I loved every minute of the course and i can't recommend the course highly enough and even escaped with no band aids from the newly sharpened tools. :)

I have just started making these pens with my Yr 8 students, and they love them. It is a very engaging project, and they are all eagerly learning about wood lathes, which have sat idle for many years in our building. It is a great sight to see them coming to life again. Timberbits have all the necessary components for making these pens in one, easy to shop, location. Well done on a great product and service.

From a simple search on their website and to giving them a call to ask further questions the team have sorted me out on so many occasions. While every business is there to make money TimberBits is there for their love of woodwork and ensuring you have the right gear and not paying extra for what you don’t need or require. I would recommend this company to anyone and have done so to everyone in the Newcastle area. Wish Henry, Darren and the team were closer but they are worth the visit. I went to Timberbits website to purchase cactus juice for resin stabilising of soft woods. The website was easy to use and delivery of product was very quick and well packaged. Instructions on the cactus juice are clear and easy to use. I have first batch of wood absorbing juice right now and look forward to putting it in oven to finish off. Definitely want more of this and some of the other cool items on their website. Recommend to all. Thanks Timberbits

Completed the Wood Turned Pen course with Matt and David. They were both great teachers who clearly explained how to set up the lathe and make up the pen. Was a great day spent.

Purchased cactus juice and heaps of other small knife making items was unreal prices and I have never had customer service from another online business ever they are the most helpful bunch of people and they just do it for the sole purpose of helping your. I will be back very shortly for another stock up, keep it up guys :-)

Purchased a precision dowel joint jig online from Timberbits. Price was competitive and processing of my order was expedient. When I picked up the item from their store I was amazed by the range of specialised tools on display (and the space only allows some of their range to be displayed) and the helpfulness of their staff.Highly recommended.

I've done two weekend courses at TimberBits recently with David and Nick, and am enrolled in another course in January. The facilities are really good, the tools and materials are very well prepared, so there is a lot of time to focus on learning and practicing the techniques. Highly recommended if you want to enhance your woodworking skills.
