Purchased 5/4 Thermal Chest Zip Wetsuit and 2mm Balaclava Vest in November 2021. Used for windsurfing in Japan, water temp down to 12c and wind up to 40knts. Even had light snow a few week's ago, could not see on the ground but just falling from the sky. Wetsuit is great, no rips tears, nothing wrong with it. I use it 3 times a week and was waiting a while to write review, just in case. Fantastic friendly staff, good quality service, and a great product. Would defiantly buy again. Thank you very much need essentials.

Cannot fault the brand and its ethics. Extremely impressed by my affordable 5/4 wetsuit and how well its held up after a few victorian winters!

This is the best wetsuit I have ever worn.Before this purchase I wasn't able to last in the water longer than 45 minutes without freezing. Since purchasing the Need Essentials wetsuit I can surf for hours with not even a shiver. It keeps me so warm, it’s also quite flexible and comfortable to wear. I purchased the 4 / 3 Liquid Taped Thermal Chest Zip wetsuit, I can’t express how happy I am with the purchase. Perfect for the Tasmanian surf in colder waters. Highly recommend!

Recently bought some new wetsuits from these guys and they were fantastic to deal with. Had to make a size exchange which was easy and no hassle. The manufacturing quality is noticeably better than other big name branded suits I've bought in the past. Easily the warmest and most comfortable wetsuit I've ever purchased. Great price. Highly recommended.

Haven't worn it yet so cant speak about the wetsuit it self. But the sales and service is insanely good. I ordered it on Thursday at 2pm and to my surprise it was delivered at 11am the next day in Nowra. Go need essentials with there super fast order process and star tracks shipping was just mind boggling. Will do an update regarding the product once its had some hours under use.

I've been surfing with a 6/4/3 Wetsuit, 6m Boot and 5mm Thermal Mitt from Need Essentials up here in Iceland.I love this gear. It's super easy to get in and out of - necessary for fast changes in freezing winds. Toasty warm - I can stay out for hours in the chilly Atlantic ocean and am content.The team at Need Essential's were always quick to respond to my queries and super helpful.For any ladies out there who want to surf cold conditions I have a men's Medium Long and it fits fine.The other great thing about this company is their commitment to social and environmental causes. They create surf gear that has least environmental impact, and promote environmental awareness through their films. Just generally supporting a company who don't advertise, don't try to rip people off, who walk their talk and are committed to living in a sustainable way feels gooooood.

I have been surfing for 50 years and have never been able to find a quality wetsuit owned by Surfers. They are from Victoria.I must say the fit and quality of Needessentials wetsuits is above all others like Oneill, Ripcurl, Quicksilver and others.They are way above the competition and each suit is taped and stiched and offers perfect fit and their rubber is heaps stronger.Best of all the staff but mainly Jamie , are so helpful and when there is an error it is fixed straight away!I live on the Central Coast NSW and whenever I place an order except on a Monday if I order it by 11:00. Am it ariivrs next day by 10:00am amazing quick considering we are in different States!Thanks again team

These folks are amazing. I ordered a 4/3 thermal chest entry wetty for the colder SA waters and I have to say I've not been disappointed. Shipping was insanely fast, the price was better than anything else on the market and their correspondence is fast and extremely professional. I could recommend this company any more if I tried.
