Merriwa Royal Hotel
Fantastic feed at the royal. Stopped here on our way to Coonabarabran. Had best schnitzel: Crispy crumb and tender, came with real mushrooms in the sauce and everything. Great staff and friendly atmosphere - don’t look any further stop here today!

Merriwa Royal Hotel
Very disappointed after reading so many good reviews. Made to feel very unwelcome. Given the look of death when we asked for the table to be wiped over. I visit Merriwa regularly. Will stick to the lovely cafes and bakery in future.

Merriwa Royal Hotel
visited Merriwa & stayed at the Pub for 2 nights over the Australia Day public holiday period. weather was hot hot hot, great atmosphere & food, yabby racing (auction monies went to charlty) live music, a great day was had by all. sunset view from room balcony was spectacular. fan in our room provided a comfortable nights sleep. very short walk to Merriwa bakery & cafes for breakfast & coffee & local pool.

Management has recently changed and the quality has gone down hill. Hostess appeared shroud and intoxicated, behaving inappropriately for a family establishment". Food was served cold on dirty tables and our room had no curtains and stained pillows. Balcony lights were left on all night. Do not recommend. So unfortunate. Had a good experience with management 4 months ago. Something is clearly wrong here now."

Usually have a fabulous meal here but tonight my goodness ordered over the phone crumb cutlets with mash verges and mushroom gravy drove 8 klms out of town to enjoy what is usually a fabulous feed but unfortunately got 2 cutlets and chips. Phoned and explained the incorrect order drove all the way back they apologised I asked the young lady had she told the chef what I ordered yes it’s all good. Given the veges no mushroom gravy and when I bit into the cutlets they were raw . No happy jan

Merriwa Royal Hotel
Dropped in for a beer and a feed. Meal was OK but nothing to brag about and even less as it took 1 hour and 40minutes to arrive at the table. Only three staff were on duty and must be commended for their effort.Management needs to look into staffing.
