Deploying a small wordpress website should take no longer than an hour or so - Yet, I've been battling the extremely outdated shared servers at ozhosting all day, and still no closer to launching this website for my client. Outdated & insecure version of PHP, outdated mySQL, a web based file manager that constantly fails - It's a complete mess.

I use these guys for a large amount of websites, email accounts and VPNs. Their support is fantastic, nothing ever fails and their email and website backup is awesome in ensuring I never loose anything important.

One star for fake reviews that you are trying to manage just to improve your rating and fool the readers.

I'm upgrading my star rating to a 2, from 1, because my recent interaction has had greater responsiveness, but the value for money and the explanation for their services isn't good.

We were having trouble with our outgoing email server with our previous host. Their tech support was overseas-based and difficult to understand, so we decided to switch to Ozhosting, on the assumption that they are locally based.Our outgoing emails were down so I asked Ozhosting that our email hosting be transferred across ASAP so we can start sending emails again. The sales consultant assured me that I would receive a call within 30min – 1 hour to set up the transfer.I did not receive a call for the entire day. When I called back in the morning, I was told someone would call me back immediately, which they did.I was surprised when I had a call from an overseas tech support consultant as I had chosen OzHosting under the assumption they were Australian-based.I called the sales department back and spoke to Doug, who assured me that they’re only *partly* based overseas. I asked for a refund which is when Doug informed me that they had already purchased 6 Microsoft licenses on my behalf and they would be required to pay out the contract. This means we will be unable to use those domains with Microsoft until the contract expires.Doug became frustrated quite easily and said we were wasting each other’s time. He then advised me to toddle off to Google!"All I asked for was email hosting
