There are plenty of shady spots to stop on a hot day but the toilets are always disgusting. They smell horrible and are not kept in a very usable state. We only use the toilets here as a last resort.

Great spot for self contained travellers. Given the situation with drought and it being the middle of Summer, the facilities were clean and in good order. Minimal water in tank, so try have wet wipes with you for washing hands, etc.

It's good in that there is plenty of room and there are functional, reasonably clean toilets. But it lacked shade and felt more like a hard pan to me. Not somewhere to stop to prepare food and rest for hour. More like a place to quickly let everyone relieve themselves and press on.
