Blockout Blinds
Had initial quote done 22nd of August 2020 and paid 50% deposit to order blinds. Installation was booked for the 23rd of September and had to pay the remaining amount before install. 3 of the roller blinds were wrong; one measured wrong, one ordered wrong and the blind on sliding door was a full blind not spilt in half like spoken about during the quote. Paul (Bendigo) came out again on the 2nd of October to remeasure the windows and drew a picture for the sliding door so we both confirmed it would be 2 blinds split over the sliding door. Said they would re order the blinds and will be about 2-4 weeks. Absolutely no communication at all from the customer service team and when called to follow up was told about 3 different times someone was following it up and would get back to me. Finally got a call on the 4th of December to say the blinds were ready and they had 2 blinds to install. I let them know there should be more blinds then that and after some searching she saw they were on a different order so she made sure there was a note on the order to make sure all of the blinds would be coming together. Of course the next appointment wasn’t until 22nd of December for the install and when the installation guy came he only had 2 of the blinds. He followed up to find the missing blinds which he came to install on Christmas Eve, but the blind was a full blind again not the spilt one. He apologized and he said he would follow up and someone would call me to let me know what is happening and said it will only take 2 weeks. Did not hear from anyone and had to follow up myself in early January. The person I spoke to said there wasn’t any notes and they would need to follow it up. Never hear back again so had to call again. Was told again on the 1st of Feb that someone was following it up and I would hear back from them by the end of the week. Called again on 5th of feb to be told they are still following it up. Promised another phone call back on Monday 8th of feb. Finally got a install date on the 20th of March which was cancelled on the day due to installation guy injuring himself and had to be rebooked for 8th of April.Seems to be no communication what so ever between the consultants, factory or customer service staff. A whole lot of promises and nothing ever followed up on. I don’t really understand how it can be so difficult to just give someone a courtesy call to explain what is happening. The lack of communication through the whole process has been horrible and made the whole process worse. This company is extremely let down by the customer service. Blinds have finally been installed on the 8th of April 2021,8 months after ordering. Will never recommend any one to use them.

Appalling service...practically non existent. Had blinds installed...they bought the wrong ones. Got the right ones a month later after much hassle, then within 6 months the blinds had cracked. Called and got them to take the blind away to replace...that was 6 weeks ago and we are still waiting on a call back to find out what is happening. Still waiting after 6 emails and numerous phone calls. PatheticIf I could leave 0 stars I would!

We had are blinds installed but the installer did not have all the blinds with him to install. Our order is only half completed. I am now being told that it will take another 15 business days to first of all locate the missing blinds and arrange another install. Terrible after sales service. I would not recommend this company at all. Totally unsatisfied customer. After 4 months and 3 attempts to install they have finally fixed all their errors. Look elsewhere!

Would give 0 stars if possible.Starting from the start of our 10 month journey!Had a consult appointment and was told when we decided to go ahead with order it would take 12 weeks from payment of 50% deposit to installation. Paid 50% deposit in November 2020 and also asked to add an additional blind to the order at this point which I was told was fine and order had been placed, installation to be booked in February. I was then told that a “check measure” was needed to be booked (not discussed at time of consult or payment). Check measure then delayed due to illness but was told installation was still February. February came and went with no contact from company even after many failed attempts made on our behalf to get some clarity on when our shutter would be installed only to be told we will call you back when we know more (No calls came). Check measure finally completed in February 12 weeks after initial payment had been made and discussed that installation should be around April - again months of no communication even after persistent phone calls from both myself and my husband. Finally given an install date and “final” payment made install was again delayed by at least another month. Finally had shutters installed in September 2021 36weeks after initial payment was made - no where near the promised 12. The saga does not end there 5 weeks after installation we received another bill!! Demanding payment for the additional blind even though I requested a statement of payment that clearly stated nothing else was owing. By receiving the additional account so long after the installation we felt that this was very dishonest and left us feeling betrayed by the company as this outstanding amount was never mentioned in any phone calls. After we complained about this and asked if we would be compensated for the delay in installation we again were told that “we will look into it and call you back” this call never came - only a threatening letter demanding payment! I would never recommend this company to anyone as the experience has left me very disappointed and upset!! I don’t expect any reply to this comment, as the communication from this company is abysmal!!

Would give zero stars if I could.Communication was so poor. Constantly calling them to find out install date. Excuse after excuse different person after person. Getting told on several occasion the person you spoke to was given the sack. Blinds are being held up in customs etc etc. Paul Morris sales person who told me he owns several of the franchise signed us up and then we never heard from him again. Called left msgs but never returns calls.Surprisingly blinds came 6 months after order but not the correct size. Paid extra for someone else to fix blinds. I could seriously write a book on how poor this company is but I am so exhausted from dealing with them. I am just writing this review so no one else has to go through what we have been through. Pay the extra and go with another company. They are now running under the name Adorn.

These blinds are amazing. I've had no fault for them at all. Paul measured the windows perfectly and Mark installed them perfectly without any issues. Both men were lovely to deal with. I'd happily recommend this company to others, and I'd use them absinthe in the future.Thank you

If i could give this company 0 stars i would. By far the worst company i have ever dealt with in any industry. We first decided to go with blockout blinds when they advertised the %50 off sale, and it is by far the worst $1000 i ever saved. Paul missed 2 appointments with us and blamed head office for having the wrong number on file (even though we had called head office and confirmed our number 3 times on 3 separate occasions). When he eventually turned up and did our measure and quote, he told us we would get temporary blinds installed within one week while we wait for our blinds to be made. Installation was meant to be 4-6 weeks from signing contracts. It has now been over 3 months and we have only had contact when we contact them ourselves. We have had multiple staff members promise to follow up where our blinds are but never recieve a phone call back. When we called 7 weeks ago we were told our blinds would be installed within 2 weeks... still no blinds. Stay away from this company.

We had 12 Roman Blinds, 1 Roller Blind and 2 Curtains. The romans were installed on 6th June and the blind quality is poor the rods are too flexiable and easily bent by our 2 year old, chain gets caught up in the top of the blind and all the end caps are falling off we have had 2 technicians out first time some end caps that seemed loose were glued on but he didn't have any spare replacements the second one put new end caps on and said he would do a report for the service dept regarding our concerns however we have still not heard a thing and the end caps are still falling off causing a choking hazard for our young children. We then got 2 curtains installed however they were too short so they had to take them down again and re-make and the wrong track had been provided for the dinning room as this one was meant to be a wand not a pulley cord system. 2 months later the installer came out to put the 2 new re-made curtains up and now they are too long and still no wand track we were told 3 weeks and they would be rectified it has been over 3 weeks now and still no contact as to when they would sort any of our issues out. We have spent a lot of money and a 10 year warranty is pointless if you can't get anything fixed up anyway. Don't use blockout blinds, they have a strong advertising campaign and great sales personal but after sales service is non existent.

The reason for this score Mark gets both for the rest of the company 0.I ordered and paid in full the same day 4 months later after phone call then got an installation date.When Mark come everything looked good then he discovered 1 blind missing curtain rail joiner missing 2 blind chains were 1500 mm instead of 750mm another month passed heard nothing so I called them to no satisfaction called the next week got a date for my order to be completed things were good until Mark went to change Blind Chains to find they were wrong again another Month has passed call them get install date only to get a phone call from Mark on day of installation to say the chains didn't arrive contacted them they and said they would get back to me but still waiting.I told them I made a big Mistake by paying in full before job was completed WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

One star goes to Mark the fitter who has gone above and beyond to rectify our situation. However, the sales rep who was so hard to get in contact with and had to repeatedly come back to “remeasure” the same windows on 4 occasions. $6500 for blinds, shutters and a sheer curtain for all of them to not fit what was measured, the sheer curtain was the wrong size, wrong colour tracking and colour. Assured 10 week at the latest install date from day of deposit 16 weeks later am we still have no blinds or shutters.Was chased daily for an outstanding amount that we refused to pay until our blinds are fixed and proven to fit and now have heard nothing from the company in regards to fixing the issues.
