Renzaglia Wines

Mark (dad) and Sam (son) were so generous with their time and knowledge. We loved the wines and bought loads - I think we bought at least 2 of every wine and presents for the cat minders. Call and book a tasting and education. A must do.

Group of 8 went for wine tasting at the vineyard. The vineyard itself was picturesque and we were welcomed by an amazing host who catered to our needs and was more than happy to show us the ropes with wine tasting.For the more experienced wine tasters in the group, the hosts were able to provide them with detailed knowledge and answered all their questions.The range of wines was broad enough to reflect the different preferences of each wine drinker whilst being succinct so as to show the effort put into each variety of wine that was being produced at that location.The vineyard was easy to find but hard to leave.The wine-makers possess knowledge and experience which finds the true balance between Old World and New World wines and bring a rustic and authentic experience for wine-tasters of all levels.The hosts even travelled all the way back to Sydney a few days later to rectify an order that was incorrectly made.A staple winery which is managed with the youth and flexibility of modern -day companies.

The Renzaglia family are incredibly passionate about cool climate winemaking, and it shows through their boutique wines. We were lucky enough to try pretty much every wine when we visited - at least a dozen kinds.This is a great spot to try wine from a fairly new cool climate wine region of NSW. The vineyards altitude is approx 800 meters above sea level.My favourite wines were the whites but they have a killer Cabernet merlot as well!Renzaglia is open every last weekend of the month, and most other times by appointment. The winery is approx two and a half hours from Sydney.Direction tip - currently Google takes you to the start of the shared driveway, however you will need to proceed down that driveway to get to the winery. Once you see another slight bend you should see a bit of the vineyard. Turn right towards it and you’ll find the spot!

I never normally write reviews but we had such a lovely experience i have to! We overestimated our cycling ability and after a 60kms cycle arrived at our tasting starved and dehydrated. Mark and sandy took us in like a pair of stray puppies and fed us out of their private kitchen. We then enjoyed an awesome tasting with the most generous portions. The 2016 chardonnay and 2013 sparkling red were incredible. They then even took us back to bathurst with the bikes (not their regular service i should add. They took pity on us we felt very sheepish yet grateful accepting their offer)

Great winery in Bathurst region. Small family driven business - those guys absolutely passionate in what they do. Nice cool climate varieties classical and a bit more experimental. You are welcome to taste their wines and even see the process of winemaking with great explanations from real professionals. Cellar door is open on weekends but you need to make an appointment before coming. Email Mark a few days before you come (find email address on the website)

If you want a wonderful wine tasting experience set in the beautiful countryside outside Bathurst, you should look no further than Renzaglia. Sandy, Mark and Sam are clearly passionate about their wine making and they love sharing this knowledge with their visitors in a warm and personal way. All of the wines we tasted were delicious and lively. We will definitely be returning. Make sure to call or email beforehand to book an appointment for the tasting.
