Pipi Palace Beach House

This home has a beautiful view but is very disappointing on the inside. On arrival, we noticed the lights in the main living area were flickering and not working properly and the fan (the only way to get air circulating in the main living area) was not working. Thankfully the electrician came on a Sunday afternoon to fix these problems for us. The Foxtel was also not working and I had to connect the HDMI cable to the Foxtel box and T.V. When I moved the Foxtel box, there were chip crumbs on the top and the shelves was filthy. Behind the T.V cabinet, there was children’s toys, Christmas bauble’s and dust all over the floor. There was gecko droppings on the leather recliner chair and the tops of the light switches are caked with dust. Plates and bowls in the kitchen were dirty and had poo and wee on them from come kind of creepy crawlers. Downstairs was sadly not any better. We found 10+ cockroaches (dead and alive) in the bathroom and the bedrooms. Pillow cases are stained and yellowed. We have had to get other family members to bring linen and pillows from home to use. The front door was also off the hinge and had to be opened and closed with great force (it has now been fixed).Overall, the presentation of the home is not how it is advertised. Furniture shown in the picture of the downstairs T.V area is not what is currently in the house. The front of the house has overgrown shrubs and looks untidy. Very disappointing to walk into a home when looking at pictures that are lovely and seeing and experiencing a very different atmosphere.

Great for 6 - 8 people, Amazing view for dining and relaxing on the balcony. Wild Kangaroos and Goannas also make for some fun and authentic Australian Holiday feels

Lovely views. Great comfortable beds and very spacious. Disappointing that there are no spare toilet rolls, soap, dishwashing detergent or hand towels provided for a place of this quality. Also ceiling fan in main living room does not work and upstairs toilet needs maintenance. Cleanliness is not up to standard. Rubbish under sofas and beds including an assortment of child’s toys, lollies and general rubbish. Rating based on house itself and views. Upkeep needs attention.

This could be a nice holiday house but it needs some maintenance. The photos shown are not an accurate reflection of the house as it is now. The garden is very overgrown and is starting to impede on the view from the deck. The view from the master bedroom and the lower deck are completely obscured by trees. The front of the house is very untidy with weeds. All windows need cleaning. The fan in the living room is not working, there is a cockroach problem and inside the kitchen drawers are very dirty. Some of the furniture needs replacing as it is old and worn. The cleanliness of the place is below par generally, especially for the premium price paid.
