Everything you want in a market, plenty of fresh fish, meat and vegetables with a few clothing stalls and places to eat. The European deli in the middle of the market is amazing. Great quality cheeses and meat. Fresh fish is available either filleted or as a whole fish, also available was live seafood with many types of crab. Only negative was how busy it was and the market sellers shouting random prices about random fruit, one guy just shouting 2.99 on a loop - no idea what was 2.99 but he was keen for everyone to know about it!

I bought prawns from this mark the prawns went off, smell so bad, the own was Chinese seafood mark place. Those people doesn’t care about health. The market should close down, need health inspection do more on this mark. #Healthy safety

Lots of fun and action to be had, my biggest beef here is the parking, if you plan on using the level parking at the market, you need an abundance of patience. People take forever to exit and space is very tight. The food options here are ok, I ordered some food from the food court although I found it a bit underwhelming and there are better options on Barkley Street in my opinion.

Footscray Market
Largest range of goods in the west. Little hit and miss sometimes but have seen significant improvements over the past few months. A loud and fast paced environment, which isn’t everyone’s style but I enjoy it. If you’re sensitive to animal products noise and smells you may unfortunately want to steer clear but that’s just the nature of markets imo.

This place is $10 parking for a dayWhen I come here to park my car it is usually around 6:30am and there is plenty of parks.Smells funny because there's an Asian grocery market under it but honestly an overall safe place to leave your car.

Pho shop in the market best in Footscray. Sells out by 12 so you know it's good. Gotta fight for tables and a weird pay after you eat system even though you order at the counter but it's legit. Congee is maybe more popular as well.

My family have been buying meat and vegetables from Footscray market for decades, remembering coming here as a kid, although back then there were alot more businesses on site. In my opinion still a great place to visit for the weekly shop of meat, fruit and veg all at fair and reasonable prices as well as great quality and customer service that seems to be slowly getting lost in the modern times of self service checkouts"
