The vertical part was a challenge for a beginner climber but worth the view. Be careful, be fit, don’t fall and die

This climb was amazing. The views from the top were incredible. Make sure you have grippy shoes, a light backpack with a first aid kit and pay close attention to the weather.Note: this is not meant to be your first hike. Some sections are near vertical rock climbs without ropes. It’s dangerous. You need plenty of outdoor experience, need to be fit, need to be prepped and be comfortable with heights. There’s no excuse for that. Many seem unprepared for this trail. It would be terrifying and not fun if you’re not ready.

A great day out for adults. Some areas are a bit of a climb and I wouldn't recommend bringing kids younger than 9 years old. I had such a great time next time I think I will go on my own and not bring my kids.Toilets are located at the very start of the bushwalk. Lots of parking .

One of the great tracks in the Glasshouse Mountains National Park. The track circumnavigates the mountain and has a great look out. This can be tied in with the Trachyte track for a good 21/2 to 3 hour walk.

Stunning early in the morning. Due to physical restrictions I didn't climb all the way to the top. It looks like it gets quite difficult. Maybe one day I'll make it to the top! Gets busier as the morning progresses and parts of the track are narrow. I recommend bringing a water bottle and a backpack if going the whole way. Great walking track around the base and there's others too. Can bushwalk or run. No need to climb if that's not your thing.

Must climb! Such a fab experience but make sure you’ve planned well. Left enough time to climb up and back, have really good soft grip climbing shoes and water!!! Must use a hydro pack as you’ll need your hands to climb!

Love this Mountain! We always love climbing this one, and it doesn't matter which route we take they are all stunning. There is even a track circumnavigating the base if a scramble is not what you're after. Around the base you will see several walls which are perfect for rope climbing and attract plenty of climbers all through the year. Such a stunning part of the world!

Six of us (fit 30yo - 45ish) climbed this today.Don't be fooled by some of the other reviews, there are two walking tracks here. 1 x climb, and 1 x circuit walk around the base. The circuit walk is fine for family/young kids, the climb.. absolutely not. I would never take my children on the climb, that is a choice they can make when they're adults.People have actually fallen and died on this climb. It is extremely steep at parts and a long way down if you fall. That being said, we all made it up and back safely and taking our time. Way down is actually easier than way up.Take snacks and water, and some other capable climbers. People do it alone, I think they're mad (and irresponsible). At times you will likely question why you did it but that question will be answered when you get to both the top and bottom. It is an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it.
