Great food and service. Nice open concept design. Went to have lunch. Food is a tad expensive but good taste and portion. Had the tuna steak medium rare which was absolutely delightful combined with the risoto. The slow cooked beef cheeks mixed in with spinach and the sauce has a beautiful taste to it.

Lovely experience with beautiful food and lovely staff! It was quite hot on the day when the AC wasnt working though. Amazing interior and seating not too crowded even though it was full of customers.

Whenever you're hungry, either it is in the morning, brunch time, or in the evening, you might want to consider this place. The seating arrangement is nice and spacious, and it's really good for socialising. This modern, high-ceiling, edgy restaurant is easily accessed with indoor and outdoor seats available. The food are amazing, perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients. I was here for brunch and dinner, and both went very well. I really enjoyed the heirloom tomatoes paired with cheese and flat bread for brunch, and the $25 special steak (Thursday 4-6pm only) with bernaise sauce was palatable. The staff is attentive and helpful, and price is decent. Overall experience I am happy with the place. Such a good meeting place with friends around the area.

Came here for dinner on a cool summer night. The atmosphere was beautiful with most of the doors open. The lychee cocktail was really good with the food also being mostly good. I did find the pork a little underwhelming however. Overall still a nice experience!

I have to say that the dining experience is very unique. The ONA reserve coffee tasted amazing and is very special. The 12 hr slow cooked beef check and the crayfish were just fantastic and you can rarely find those types of dishes in a brunch spot. Would highly recommend this place.

I recently had a brunch experience at Abaccus, and I must say that the ambiance was truly delightful. The restaurant had an abundance of natural lighting, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere with a modern touch. Furthermore, the overall cleanliness of the establishment added to the positive dining experience. The service at Abaccus was commendable, considering how busy it was on that particular day. The staff remained attentive to our orders, ensuring that we were well taken care of throughout our meal. On the beverage front, the coffee served was satisfying, which is always a plus for a coffee lover like myself. When it came to the food, Abaccus offered options that catered to different dietary requirements, however the taste of the dishes didn't leave a lasting impression on me. Despite this, if you find yourself in the area, I would still recommend giving Abaccus a try :)

We were invited to Abacus which is one of the most instagrammable spaces in Melbourne. The super high ceilings with beautiful dangling pendants lights create a really contemporary environment and the greenery is abound making for quite a lux setting. The menu is not your typical brunch fare, it’s definitely elevated to rather fancy standards, perhaps a little too fancy for my tastes. I had the avocado on toast which was served on a vibrant beetroot sourdough which was pretty cool with some squacqerone cheese. This is a fresh Italian cream cheese which was yummy. Our sweet dish however was a little strange for a lunch menu item, rhubarb and cinnamon donuts with liquid nitrogen. This is really more of a dessert even with the presence of the tart rhubarb. I think this dish would have been more enjoyable had I not eaten it post the avocado toast as it sat in the liquid and became extremely soggy post the theatrical smoke show. Regardless while it’s certainly a pretty dish it is most definitely not a substantial lunch item so for $23 don’t expect to be full.Original reviewWas popping to the Prahran market to buy gourmet goodies for Dinner En Blanc and stumbled on the super dooper Abacus. Open less than three months it's already cemented itself as a go to brunch spot with its beautiful open space. There was quite a line when we arrived at around 12.30 so given I we starving I used the time to Insta stalk the dishes and aid my selection. Less then ten minutes passed and we were ushered to cool (open) windowsill seating. The menu was all things eclectic think charcoal toast, fennel nips and volcanic rock (what does it all mean??) so I decided on the special which was rolled oats milled and roasted to order (faaaancy) with roof honey. Wow. Finally a stunning breakfast dish sans flowers. It was absolutely beautiful, well balanced and really delicious. The mint gave it a little something to balance the sweetness but why you no destem the strawberries?? My friend ordered boring old scrambled eggs on toasts (hooray they give you two pieces of bread) with a side of tomatoes and another side of mozzarella. It came out looking spectacular. They must be some seriously free roaming chickens because I've never seen eggs that yellow. The cheese was super fresh too (of course I tried some it looked amazing). My other even more boring friend had Vegemite on toast which is usually unremarkable but the house baked bread was apparently excellent. There was also a dj spinning which sounds kind of off for brunch but was actually really cool. The giant to the ceiling fig tree was stunning and the woodfired oven took pride of place for the nighttime pizzas. Interiors and food utter perfection
