My son and I practice Wing Chun back in our home town Adelaide.During our Holiday stay In Tasmania we thought it would be a great opportunity to visit the local wing chun club, see if we could experience how it’s done here.We reached out to Sifu Leigh from Tas Wing Chun Training Centre and he welcomed us to visit his club and participate in a session. On arrival, we were immediately impressed with the facility. The training equipment available was extensive. There was a well laid out schedule to make clear how to progress through the system as taught. The class we attended was above our skill level (we are early into our Wing Chung journey), this did not stop Leigh from investing considerable time within the lesson, ensuring he got across the teachings to us.The style of Wing Chung taught was different to what we are used to but seemed to be a pragmatic approach and I imagine effective. The vibe from Leigh and the students I met was welcoming and respectful. If I was to be a local resident, I would definitely be perusing a membership at Tas Wing Chun.
