Really enjoyed the novelty of a new place in Townsville (well not quite in Townsville - at Elliott Springs). A lot of effort has gone into the lake & restaurant with some 'wild' food options. I very much enjoyed the service, dining options & location. We did not use the accommodation but that also looks interesting.

When I'm in Townsville, (as often as possible), I stay here. The park is scenic, friendly and always exceptionally clean. Martin and Fiona and their staff are friendly helpful people and have, over the years I've been coming here become friends of mine. The worst thing about this park is having to leave when commitments elsewhere leave me with no choice.

The Glamping tents were immaculately clean and 5 star. The venue was so relaxing. The Black Barra Bar was first class. The food was delicious and fresh and staff were very friendly. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough

Nice spot, but 15 minutes out of town. Very clean and well grassed. Lovely spot for a stop over. The pool is 24/7 for adults and to 6pm for kids

Rang to enquire about permanent accommodation. Woman on the phone was impatient and very cold. Frankly needs to learn how to treat potential customers. Would not visit, let alone reside there, based on that unpleasant exchange.Read previous reviews to confirm the attitude problem. Not criticising the information provided, but the attitude and delivery. See response below. Lol

It was ok for a stop over, we had a drive through site.Needs more shade.Toilets & Showers were good.Wildlife was nice to see.Staff friendlyPet friendly.They are in middle of renovation, glamping area looked good.Also a Restaurant going in.Have to stop in next time we are passing through see how it all finished.

We had powered caravan site 4x nights. We were on grass site opposite pool, plenty room & level, needed extended length for hoses & leads to reach, dry weather area only, heavy rain would be an issue. Our Area was noisy when kids in pool all day. Other sites slab & gravel, no trees or shrubbery & close to each other, but they are concentrating on new areas of park. Amenities were ok, shower curtains to stop water going everywhere would be helpful. cleaners unobtrusive as didn’t see them. They are extending with new park areas being landscaped which I’m sure will be great.

We stopped off here for 1 night on our way up to Cairns and so glad we chose an independent site! The owners were so welcoming and the facilities are fantastic. We hadn’t seen wild wallabies before and they all come to campsite around 5:30 which was awesome for us travellers to see! Would recommend this place for anyone!

Enjoyed a beautiful lunch at the Black Barra Cafe and Bar. The food was absolutely delicious and it’s so nice to have menu options that are a little different. The staff were super friendly and provided great service. Great food, great service and all while overlooking a lovely native pond with turtles swimming by to say hello.
