Great place to catch your breath and cool down on a hot Melbourne day. Have a look at Castle Howard’s temple of the four winds, a Vanbrugh folly. Then a drink and scones by the lake, bliss.

Temple of the Winds
This old shrine is a dedication to the past directors of the botanical gardens. Once inside it has a lovely view through the trees of the yarra and surrounding area. Its not that large or grand but does add some noticiable history to the area. Recent renovations so it is all clean and in good nick.
