The Old Bakehouse Tavern
Moving. It's one of life's most stressful activities. It's physically demanding, mentally overwhelming and emotionally draining. You leave behind friends, family and familiarity, especially moving interstate to your new home. But that's the beauty of this little pub. It feels exactly like home. The atmosphere, the people, the food, all of it. A manic week was brought to a close on arrival in Adelaide and sitting down to dinner here, for that brief time made one feel like they'd been here many times before, were somewhere they knew people and just swept away that feeling of lonliness. It's the sort of place you come not just to eat or have a bevvie, though you definitely could, it's a place where you come to feel like you belong, that you're amongst friends and you're home. And that doesn't even begin to cover the quality of the meals, which were exceptional in every way. Reasonable prices, excellent serving sizes and expedient service were all ticks in the boxes.I've eaten at more country town (and city) pubs than I care to admit but this is truly one of the best so far and I am most assuredly going back.Thank you, OBT for making my first night in my new home a positive and delicious one.No photos, I'm afraid, I was far too busy soaking it all in.

Fantastic meals for a really great price. Friendly, inviting service. They make their own relish in-house and it is to die for, can even buy some to take home with you. Has definitely become the family's new favourite place to enjoy a meal together. Do yourself a favour and give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful wee place, I've been to a few countries to say the least and tons of bars. I miss the feeling that certain bars from back home give you. But the Bakehouse Tavern ticks all the boxes. Amazing atmosphere, 5⭐ service by incredible staff and the food could easily take on a Michelin Star pub from the UK, as I've been there and its on par. Its a great place just to pop in by yourself for a meal and drink or hang out with mate or a lovely spot to take the other half there for a date night, especially at the moment as the cold weather kicked in as there is a beautiful fire place to give that room a romantic vibe and of course the list of cocktails and drinks you and your other half can enjoy.

The food is good but the service needs to be improved, the two tables of guests who came later than us about 15-20 minutes had their main meals and they didn't remember to cook until we said our food had not arrived yet?

Best parmi I’ve ever got to enjoy! A beautiful local and affordable meal with a cozy atmosphere and lovely customer service. And for some reason the crispest most satisfying ginger beer, I don’t know how. Thank you.

Best spicy Margarita I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a fair few…), great $$ meals and overall great venue- warm local vibes, well worth the stop in!

Re opened pub at Williamstown, SA. Been worth the wait as they have done a very nice refurbishment inside.Food is fabulous, staff are very friendly and pleasant. You can sit inside or outside, under the verandah.Pricing of food and beverage is very reasonable. Easy parking either on site or street.Could do with a couple more craft beer IPA's or APA heavies but that's my person faves.Very close to the perfect country pub.We will be back with friends.Highly recommended.Cheers, Q.
