Anchorage on Straddie
This is a great place to stay! We enjoyed its close proximity to the beach and other amenitied. The Manager is very friendly and accommodating and provided us with information about the island. The unit was well furnished and had everything we needed. The only problem was it didn't have air conditioning and during our stay it was very hot and humid. It does have ceiling fans luckily. The pool is heated so would be a great place to stay in winter too. Thanks for our stay!

Relaxing getaway here, close to beach, top floor room had view of ocean. Lovely warm pool. Nice vibe & friendly manager

We had a fabulous stay in a 1 bedroom apartment for a week. Perfect location with easy access to the beach.I was concerned re lack of air con, however this was not an issue as we had a great breeze flow thru the apartment. Was lovely sitting on the balcony and watching the stars.Apartments have pretty much everything you need. Easy walk up the beach to the pub and along the road to the bowls club... We will definitely be back. Thanks Kath and Andrew

Stayed in a studio room which was perfectly adequate. Downside the pool needs a lot of maintenance. Bbq area good. Beach access good

Clean, definitely close to beaches, dress shop, coffee, eating places, and the awesome Bowls club which has been there for years

We’ve just returned from 3 nights at Anchorage on Straddie and 2 days of enjoying many of the island’s sights, walks, and experiences. What a wonderful few days! And we picked the perfect accommodation for a laid back weekend - beach access from the grounds via a raised walkway, all facilities we could ask for in our unit as well as a private covered balcony for relaxing over the outdoor pool area, lovely and clean and pretty views of the beach through the melaleuca forest.We’ll definitely plan to visit again - thanks Damian and crew at Anchorage - much enjoyed!

Such a peaceful place right on the beach. Rooms are clean, well equipped and views are amazing.Highly recommend.
