A soft name, hard rock music, rabbit hard sight, Chin Chin is the very nice restaurant at Surry Hills. The food is very tasty and delicious. Finish with a warm Vietnamese coffee. Such good Saturday lunch.

Food was delicious!!! Highly recommend the twiced cooked beef and have rice with it.Service was a bit disappointing. They are good when initially taking orders and delivering the food to your table. But when it comes to getting water refills or trying to get attention from staff to make some request.. they weirdly avoid eye contact. Like they walk past you evebln though you're obviously waving or turning your body to look at them.. they just avoid eye contact. Or others pretend not to see you. Please work on your service.Food is great but there are other places that have both great food and service!

Just one word - Excellent! We went with the ‘chef’s banquet’ meal which is $110 per person. The selection of food was fabulous and the quantity was really good too. Keep up the good work guys. The lamb ribs were simply mind blowing

Had a very disappointing experience at chinchin.Service was poor. We received the wrong dish twice and spent alot of time trying to flag down wait staff to follow up on dishes and drinks.Food was hit or miss. We loved the tartare and fried eggplant however the duck pancake was mediocre and the short ribs were dry and inedible.Total cost for 2 was approx $200 which is definitely on the pricier side. Definitely not worth it for the service and so-so menu

The saddest meal we had in Australia. I’d give it 2 stars ⭐️⭐️ for the price and tummy ache. $260 for 2 - Celebration Feast. Also, the menu shown to us were only the feasts and we weren't informed we could get ala carte (which was at the back of the paper place mat! I mean who checks the back of a paper place mat). Still, Literally everything in the tasting menu, were all so-so - 3 stars. Even the “wagyu” at first bite, I had to spit out cause it had tough ligaments. So not worth it.

Came for a Saturday lunch and ordered al a carte- great experience overall. We especially liked the papaya salad (extra chilli), vegetarian curry and the duck wraps. Good service and drinks list.. recommended

I tried the Melbourne shop many years ago. Very happy to have a chance to visit Chin Chin Sydney. Great atmosphere and vibe. The dishes came quite quickly. Most of them have strong flavours and a bit too salty. If you have order plain rice, it maybe better because you can serve with rice. But I think it’s better to adjust the seasoning of the dishes. But we still like the chicken wings and the pork belly. Chicken wings are well seasoned. Pork belly is delicious and crispy. The cocktails are quite good and looks pretty too.

Nice food, but overpriced. Ordered the oysters, BBQ pork, prawn noodles and roti. I enjoyed the oysters and the BBQ was something new. The side papaya salad and prawn noodles were good, but not worth the price point. Same with the cocktails. The roti is crispy but not soft and fluffy - closer to a puff pastry.Would like more experimentation with flavours to warrant the price.Service was fine, staff need more training on laying out dishes on the table and service in general.
