I just want to know my parents place bill that they did not get this month.So I called you want to know why you didn't send a billThat they didn't let me know any information.I actually know the account number and reference number that my parents let me know already.But they didn't do anythingJust said that my parents need to call directly.How ridiculous you are ,they are 91and 86 years old personThey can't speak English .Is the bill send or not so important things to you?Really ridiculous you don't have any flexibility.

Avoid this company at all cost!Had a faulty meter the first month when we joined with Alinta Energy.They notified us that our meter is faulty on 23 Dec 2022 and sent us a greatly overestimated bill, 2-3times more than normal. They refused to come and fix the meter earlier when we requested. Their metering provider, PLUS ES was supposed to come yesterday. But they obviously didn't come and pretended they didn't have the access.Spoken to the customer service, they said the technician didn't have access and he has called us about it. Lies after lies, we didn't receive any calls, and there is always clear access to the meter too.We also talked to the billing department about the overestimated bill. She said they probably can't do anything to correct it. And told us to ask the metering provider what to do instead. How responsible are they!?Shame on you Alinta Energy & Plus ES!Definitely do not recommend Alinta Energy!

We were with Alinta for just on 12 months in 2020/2021. We received an absolutely ridiculous bill, 3x the normal amount. We asked for them to provide an explanation of the meter read.....backwards & forwards & got nowhere. We paid a 3rd of the bill & left to move to RED ENERGY- WHO HAVE BEEN FANTASTIC TO DEAL WITH!Alinta have referred the matter to a debt collector & are threatening to ruin our perfect credit rating!NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!It's extortion & bullying! We don't owe them a cent!

modern goon as a company who tried to rip me off sending 10k bill without even using any energy from them. Poor customer service lead to a misunderstanding and power outage which made me and my mates to live without electricity for 5 days.Still waiting for a reply of my mail which was sent almost over a month.Total disgrace, such a shame that company like alinta exist.

By far the worst organisation I have dealt with.They called me to sign me up to what was apparently a great deal for my area.Received the shock of my life when I received a bill 10 days later from Alinta energy, billed before I moved into my premises! Called them to try and get an explanation, unfortunately spent hours talking to a clueless individual, who then waived the bill.More bills kept coming despite the fact that I had transferred to another energy provider. Additionally, I later found out they were reading the wrong meter and also they had the wrong billing address. Talk about an incompetent group of individuals.The Ombudsman should investigate their operating practices as they fall inline with scam artists.STAY AWAY FROM THIS energy retailer !!!

The worst customer service ever u can get. Wanted to give minus rating's if there were any.Signed up with Alina energy in 2015 till i transferred my account to my mates in 2021. The customer service agent confirmed that everything is done & i have no obligation as the new account has been set up under my mate's name as i paid all previous bills & nothing pending.After couple of months they start calling me to pay an outstanding bill which have been paid already.Now they referred it to debt collection agency which is threatening me to pay the bill or u ll be declared defaulter.Disgraceful & pathetic behaviour

Somehow a 43% increase in power rates is apparently ok" despite the market rate not increasing anywhere near that. Followed no doubt by a doubling of profits. All at a time where the price of coal is back down to 2021 levels. And why would that mean a 32% increase in the Daily Charge anyway? Alinta are just profiteering off our hard work."

We moved to Sydney and unfortunately signed up with Alinta, so we naively thought that that’s the price of power… until i have spoken with friends, complaining of my power bills who are paying 3 times less ( literally, not an exaggeration ) and being very comfortable heating their homes etc. We were saving power while kept getting higher and higher bills every month, regardless of how much we ve tried to save.Trust the reviews, don’t waste your money, they should be banned from the market, absolute scam.They don’t read the meter but have some imaginary reading that they claim they do digitally from far. We used aircon during summer. Then no cooling nor heating during autumn, but the bill kept getting higher and higher.. so no connection between billing and usage whatsoever.We will try to take this issue further and request refunds, everyone should do the same, take the thieves down.

let me start with saying that if I could give this company 0 stars I would. 1- ordered electricity and gas connection for 24/03 to the new house and disconnection from the old house on 28/03. They booked connection for the new house for 28th instead 24th. 2-when ordering for gas connection the new house they booked just for meter read not connection. When called they said sorry let us book same day delivery and we will cover the cost of that. After waiting for the whole day I called Jemina Gas company directly (alinta uses them for connection) they told me that Alinta indead booked for the gas connection this time but only for the standard connection which will take 5 days. On the phone again .........

Not off to a good start. I made the decision to go with them for my gas on the 22nd Dec. I had a meter read on the 10th Jan and assumed this was to move me over. I get a bill from my previous provider mid-Feb and ring them only to find that Alinta has scheduled my cut-over to them on the 10th April - nearly 4 months after me signing up. Why does it take so long?I tried to call their call centre at 10am today but got a message saying it was closed due to scheduled maintenance and that I should call back the next day. Really? You take your call centre out with scheduled maintenance on a week day in the middle of the day? All this from a company that advertises about its local call centre feature.Unimpressed so far. I hope it improves.Update: I dumped them. The call centre person was unhelpful on the way out. Won't deal with them ever again.
