Annie Makes Cakes

I was visiting a friend and didn't want to go empty handed so I thought I'd get a cake from the new/ish local bakery. I got the Orange and Almond cake. It was DELICIOUS! the icing wasn't too sweet, just right and the cake consistency and flavour was perfect (I wont say the M word lol). I grabbed a sausage roll for the drive too and it was really yummy! One of the best I've had. So glad this little gem is in our neighbourhood now! I'll be back

It was a lazy Thursday arvie and a super friendly girl greeted us. Really cute shop.. fresh vibes. We ONLY went there to test the Russian Honey Cake as this is our specialty tasting skill.It was presented nicely in the cabinet but we were S H O O K at $8 per tiny slice (see photos). It needed to be mind blowing for this to be repeated.It wasn’t. It was just ok. My friend, a Russian, was critical mostly of the fact that the taste of honey was non existent. The layers were perfect. Thin and numerous. The cream filling was more like whipped butter than honey cream. The texture was lovely. It wasn’t unpleasant at all, just not Honey Cake.We probably won’t buy that particular cake again, but will definitely try a couple of the others in the cabinet as they looked excellent.Looking forward to being wowed.

I was gifted this taro cake by my friend who highly recommends Annie Makes Cakes and it was AMAZING!!!! 10/10. Really tasty and light flavour, whilst the sponge was very fluffy and soft.This is new favourite cake shop (I’m a big cake enthusiast and love trying cakes from a variety of stores). I’ve already ordered the same taro cake to gift to one of my friends as a result and I will be getting our next celebration cake here.

Very friendly service. I got a blueberry and strawberry cheesecake to-go. Both cheesecakes were tasty. Generous portions and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. Convenient location. Cute local spot I highly recommend.

Nice varieties of cake, good option with the mix slices to try a few. Cake cake a bit icy though so I presume the cake was frozen and then defrosted? Favourite was the lychee one and chocolate mousse one. Taro and green tea ones were light and fluffy. Didn’t enjoy the vegan chocolate one - had a stodgy texture. Would recommend to friends to try for the lychee and chocolate mouse cakes.

Went here on a Tuesday morning. The overall vibes already were astonishing. It was clean, aesthetic and everything you’d want in a cafe. The lady provided excellent service. She had recommended the Russian cake and it was tasty and had the perfect sweetness. I think this cake is more suited for those who don’t like anything too sweet. I also had a caramel latte mini tart it was delicious, coffee lovers would love it.

We bought a carrot cake for my birthday here, it was absolutely delicious. We received many compliments from the party guests that it was a lovely cake. We’ll definitely buy from here again.We also had two pies for lunch- the Cha sui pork pie was so yummy!

Their cakes are amazing! We ordered the hojicha and rose & lychee cakes! They are super tasty!!! A MUST order cakes! Superb service they provide even with some misunderstanding with the delivery arrangement, they were willing to go out of their way to deliver our cakes.

We asked Annie to make our wedding cake in September and she did an absolute stellar job. We had the strawberry and pastachio and taro cake and it fit perfectly with our asian seafood theme! Highly recommended as the cake was delicious!

Purchase the taro cake online. Cakes looks like the picture, looks great. We like our cakes not overly sweet, so this was perfect. Texture was light and fluffy, the cream wasn't in excess. Great balance. Definitely keen to try other cakes in the future.
