Lost Children's Monument

This is...a sad finding I cam across while looking around Daylesford on Google Maps...may those kids keep wandering on a fun journey in the skies...many people do come here to commemorate their lost kids too...rest in peace...

A sad little memorial commemorating to the discovery of the bodies of three young children who went missing in 1867. Months later, their bodies were discovered inside the hollow tree in which they had tried to shelter. The tree is long gone, and the original memorial has been replaced by the current plaque in 1967.Other than the white stone cairn and plaque, there is little else here except for a a small memorial nearby at which people had left small toys.Keep in mind that some of these toys have been left by people who have lost their children, so leave the area just as you have found
