OceanSense Freediving - Gold Coast

Had an amazing time on the Bali retreat! Such amazing instructorswith great attention to all levels of where people are at and making them feel comfortable. Would highly recommend and definitely do it again!

I recently did my freediving depth test with Oceansence diving and had the pleasure of learning from Gonzalo. He is without a doubt the best instructor in town, and I cannot recommend him enough. His patience, expertise, and dedication to teaching made the experience enjoyable and informative.Throughout the course, Gonzalo provided me with a lot of great tips and practice that helped me improve my skills and gain more confidence in the water. It was a fantastic journey with Oceansence diving and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to improve their diving skills! I cannot wait to explore more with them!

Where do I start when trying to explain how awesome my experience on Ocean Sense with Matt and G ? I guess I was potentially the old lady at sea but this incredibly inclusive team made my 5 day trip unforgettable. I have spent my life training racing and traveling all over the world. This experience was unique in the laid back but incredibly organised and enjoyable way to revisit Freediving at 44. While 90 per cent of the others where half my age I had as much fun and learnt as much as I did when I was 20. Thank you for reminding me that everyone can go beneath the surface and find a world so beautiful but also a piece of your soul you may have misplaced, forgotten about or just needed to revisit. You boys have reminded me of my deep passion for pushing my mind body and soul. That is priceless and I encourage anyone at any age or stage in your life to take a leap of faith and dive in with an Ocean Sense experience!

I was really privileged to be able to learn both the theory and practice of freediving from Gonzalo at OceanSense. He is an expert, with patience, passion, and a sense of humour. This is someone with a deep knowledge of everything from the ‘mammalian dive reflex’ to carbon dioxide tables for practicing breath hold ... he knows about diving the Great Barrier Reef, and all the safety issues in between. Went HAMS ship with oceanSense , Gonzalo is amazing guide, every dive he always watches us. And we so lucky to see eagle ray. Although I got a bit sea sick, maybe not a bit, but definitely I’ll go Freedive with OceanSense again.

I had such a great experience freediving on the Gold Coast with Oceansense. I was doing my SSI stage 1 and Gonzalo was our instructor. He had a great balance of fun and safety and I instantly felt comfortable and like I was in good hands. The course was great fun and the dive centre was in an awesome location, in runaway bay marina.I’d highly recommend freediving, diving or getting qualified with these guys. The pool skills were in a beautiful big pool at the GC performance centre .Highly recommend
